Piling into a random pub that was packed to the rafters with people who would usually never set foot in there to watch Rovers play on a dodgy feed. Those were the days. 1 Quote

I found myself missing the regular interplay between the centre halves I don't understand why the wingers crossed the ball into the box. They could have lost possession there. What they should have done was stopped and passed back 5 yards to the nearest player. 3 Quote

Thankfully we now have top tier coaches like Russell Martin who can show us the right way to play the game. Hopefully we never have to return to the dark days of crossing wingers, tackling defenders and the dreaded two up front. 3 Quote

And only three subs on the bench, how on earth are you supposed to completely disrupt the second half?? Thank god things have progressed. 3 Quote

And having the right footed winger on the right wing - what were they thinking. How on earth did they expect him to cope with cutting inside onto his weaker foot? 4 Quote

Why aren’t they waiting 5 minutes for a twat with a tele to confirm the goals should/shouldn’t stand?? …and don’t get me started on this 1-11 shirt number bollocks. Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted yesterday at 05:52 Moderation Lead Posted yesterday at 05:52 Was talking about this at work yesterday, but I was saying that when I was a kid, if football was like it is now, with the slow play and aimless sideways passing- I probably wouldn't be a fan of football. Certainly not like I am, anyway. 4 Quote

Bingo. I actually said the same at the last Fans Forum. I used to religiously watch Match of The Day, every Super Sunday, all Champions League etc. Now I barely even bother. 4 Quote

I think a lot of that is just moving on with life/getting older etc. What adult with family/work commitments etc has the time or can be arsed to watch every MOTD, Super Sunday, Champions league etc plus going to Ewood every other week, a few aways etc. I certainly don't. But at one time I was exactly the same, but like you don't watch much neutral footy at all these days. It's an interesting thought though about being a kid now, my lad at 15 is absolutely Rovers obsessed, and loves playing too, yet he wouldn't even think of sitting down and watching say Liverpool vs Man City or whatever. He takes in his viewing from short video's on youtube, tiktok or whatever, and loves playing Football Manager and Fifa, if I ask him about most players he will know about them through those means. Even Dion De Neve caught him out though, hadn't a clue who he was! Quote

However with all the information available on the internet he would leave me trailing in his wake. 1 Quote
