Mattyblue Posted December 16 Posted December 16 I like how the ‘early 80s’ is referring to the 1880s. 1 Quote

The previous one with the vee neck and short sleeves was a bit cold in winter. A young Eamon Rogers in the background before he let his hair grow. Quote

Brilliant free kick bent around the wall with the outside of his right foot right into the near top corner. It’s really hard to get power into the shot using that technique but Cubillas did. The goal he scored earlier in the game wasn’t too shabby either. A right foot thunderbolt from 20 odd yards out into the same top corner. Edited Sunday at 18:59 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote

Liverpool also carry a bizarre festive record playing Christmas day, Boxing day and the following day consecutively, with Rovers drawing them 3-3 on the final of their triple run of fixtures! 1 Quote

Scorers for Rovers - George Jones and Mike England. Attendance.20,851. Else Wilson, England Mulvaney, Newton Clayton, Joyce Darling, Byrom, McEvoy, Harrison sub Jones A strange team in my opinion. No wonder we were struggling. 1 Quote

I often think that just three years earlier Rovers had what was - IMO- the best rovers team I’ve ever seen. How the mighty fell. three years earlier. Spot the changes Else Bray Newton. Clayton England McGrath. Ferguson McEvoy Pickering Douglas Harrison. . 2 Quote
