Incredible display from Hampton How anyone can watch men's football and proudly declare they have no interest in women's football is a fool if you ask me. Game totally boycotted by the holidaying Spaniards here in Malta- only English were watching. Usually the Spaniards are the loudest when Real or Barca are in action. 1 Quote

Definitely player of the tournament the keeper, what that says about England who knows, or cares. 3 Quote

Either way we've just seen English champions, beating the tournament favourites. 1 Quote
Tugayisgod Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Special word for Jess Carter as well, after the last couple of days. She was also excellent today 👍 5 Quote

The WSL - women's equivalent of the Premier League - had an average attendance last season of just 6662 so there are obviously a lot of fools out there if you are correct. 1 1 Quote

There's a difference between not actively following it and openly declaring you have no interest, no? I don't want to argue though, I really enjoyed this evening. 2 Quote
... Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Venkys missed a trick cutting our girls from the league. There's going to be a lot more interested young women and girls wanting to see Rovers Women after that. Sadly not playing from home. 4 Quote

Gav Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Superb stuff and several of these players with Rovers links too. I’m not going to state the obvious, our owners don’t deserve to share the same page with these European Champions. 5 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) well done the Lioness, didn't watch it the final or any of the tournament but back to back winners is a great achievement by them so the deserved huge credit for that 1 hour ago, philipl said: Game totally boycotted by the holidaying Spaniards here in Malta- only English were watching. Women sport just isn't for some people. I have no interested in Women football but can recognised that for some people are really invested in it and attend games. bazza Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Which are the ex-Rovers girls? Is it Stanway, Toone and Walsh? 2 Quote
bazza Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My tournament favourite (for England) is Kiera Walsh. She flies under the radar. She seems to have an extra spark from time to time which leads to an unexpected danger for the opposition. 2 Quote

They really do, the entire starting midfield were brought up through Rovers ladies. This result will be the very last thing Pasha needed, no doubt the spotlight will once more be shone on Blackburn Rovers, it would seem to be the only club in the developed world not prepared to invest a few quid to cash in on the development of the women’s game. Unbelievable, most especially given the head start the club had as one of the pioneers of ladies football. Shame on Pasha, shame on Venkys. 3 Quote

With our neighbours it’s Ugijar, Granada, Andalusia, then Spain last in thar order. Insult their village and you’re in big trouble ! Spain you can criticise. Living between Almeria and Granada they have no team of their own but they all either support Real or Barca. There are both club house’s in the village that have the games on but I haven’t been invited yet. Only one or two support Almeria, Granada or Malaga. Edited 2 hours ago by Tyrone Shoelaces 2 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago I felt sorry for that Bommatti. Best player out there for me. I would have put my house on her scoring the pen but that was a tame effort. Too many side footed at a very saveable height. They’ll need to learn to put the laces through it. 1 Quote

Maybe move the penalty spot closer for the women because they just don't have the same kicking power as the men Quote

There were at least 3 very poor pens. I was talking my Mrs through why they were poor and her answer was "so you need at least one of power and accuracy? So why did they do that?" I know pressure plays a part but if you're not confident of hitting the corner you have to give it the Pearce/Bronze. Quote

If you’re going to side foot it - it’s got to be all along the the ground and in the corner. Going high down the middle works also. Edited 1 hour ago by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote
