Pre season 23/24

I'd like to see Markanday stay as part of the first team squad rather than go out on loan again. I only really saw him against Hull on his unfortunate debut, and last summer in preseason friendlies and the Carabao Cup, but he looks lively. I bet he'd have offered more than the expensive loanee, Sorba Thomas.

I wonder why he hasn't been getting a look-in, though.

The Austrian Bundesliga sides manager can't be too happy with them playing their first game of the season in a weeks time.

I'd be curious to know where they're predicted to finish - I have serious questions about the quality of that league now.

I really hope Gallagher kicks on this season now he's the main man upfront. Nobody can questions his attitude and his work ethic, you don't play approaching 200 games in Blue n White if you've not got something about you.

Hedges started last season in good form and probably kept him out of the side on merit in the early weeks of the season, that did dip after he was shunted to wing back (a formation which also didn't suit Markanday) and then left out of the Wales World cup squad, but I would hope with the extra spots on the bench this season, we will see more of Markanday

He was the main man upfront last season too.

Look I'd love Gallagher to turn his career around, but if he scores 20 this year then JDT and Reijnierse deserve a statue next to Jack Walker's.

Look at the stands in the ground. Accy Stanley is more substantial.

Outside the top three or four clubs, Austrian first division isn't even Championship standard.
