I overestimated the quality of the teams in the league more than anything, although in my defence I barely give the PL a passing glance these days. This Man Utd team, currently losing to Burnley, being 7th says it all.

Sooo, hands up who actually thought Keith Andrews would do this good a job ar Brentford?

I imagine pointing at his team mates, and pointing at a tactics board, are transferrable skills 😉

Burnley 1-1 now.

Thought there was a ridiculous VAR inspired penalty for Citeh in their game v Brighton.

Doku took a swan dive over an outstretched leg and the ref (rightly imo) ignored it. Then VAR referred him to the screen and we know what happens next.

Grealish got a second yellow for applauding the referee after getting a free kick, Everton fans seem annoyed but it’s bloody stupid from Grealish who then got in the ref’s face after.

A lot of Burnley fans seem very unhappy tonight that they wasted time and tried to play for the draw rather than go for the win.

Parker still on the precipice it feels

Doing well with a team stripped of it's two best forwards who were responsible for the vast majority of their goals last season. Lost their captain and goalkeeper as well

Maybe we just have to (begrudgingly for some) accept that he might be a good coach - perhaps he can read a game better than he can play one! Would explain all the pointing 😉

My comment was meant in jest.  He is obviously doing a very fine job with Brentford

I didn’t see the game but looking at the stats they got hammered. Very lucky to escape with a point.

First 30 minutes were pretty level. United then had a spell where they were rampant for 15 minutes before and then 15 minutes after half time. Loads of shots, clearances off the line etc.. Got themselves in front, immediately took Bruno Fernandes off for some bizarre reason and then it went pretty even again. But in the spell when Untied were on top they could have had 4 or 5.

I'd go the other way. There isn't that much difference from top to bottom, aside from the teams in the relegation spots. Although Edwards seems to have got Wolves playing. They narrowly lost to Arsenal and Liverpool. Drew away at Man U and Everton.

Everton have a £100m player in midfield (albeit on loan). Bournemouth's striker cost almost £40m. Brighton and Brentford sold forwards for £50m+ over the summer.

Forest have 2 England calibre midfielders. Palace has Gueye and Wharton.

Not a Liverpool liker but that action by martinelli was disgraceful. Hope they do look at that again and punish him and Arsenal.

Neville should be fired. Can't advocate violence (at least on live TV) what a bad impression to set for younger viewers.

Im not a Neville fan at all but I didnt think he said anything wrong at all. He said Martinelli trying to push the injured Bradley off the pitch was an absolute disgrace, which I completely agree with and he was surprised one of the Liverpool players hadn't chinned Martinelli (or similar) which I cant disagree with at all.

Martinelli thing was poor but I thought he deserved 2 yellows nothing too drastic.

We see that happen quite often it just so happened this time the lad was actually injured and I think Martinelli has had a lapse in judgement and thought he was time wasting.

Was it last season Martinelli was off the pitch "injured" and Arteta urged him to roll back on to get the game stopped ?

Just hope they don't win it, not a very likeable club.
