Cunha and Mbuemo should be good signings as they are proven Prem quality. Sesko is somewhat unknown but came in on a big fee so will have the expectations to match. However, it remains to be seen if any of them can score 20 league goals in a season. Ultimately I think they won't.

The club is rotten (nowhere near as rotten as Rovers, mind). I have so sympathy for them, their fans, Ratcliffe, the Glazers, or Amorim. 

Amorim is puzzling. 12 months ago Mainoo was coming off playing for England at the Euros. Now he can't get a kick. Strange. His adherence to 3-4-3 will be the undoing of him. He doesn't have the players to play it, nor is it a formation that breeds success. Off the top of my head I think that the only Prem winning team playing 3 at the back was Conte's Chelsea, and they had Diego Costa banging them in.  

In summary give him a 5 year extension with hope that the UK government dig their heels in on the rail hub and  make them pay for their new stadium

Did anyone notice sesko was 10th penalty taker last night? 

Either the guy has has put himself there or the coaching staff put him last. Either way not a ringing endorsement of your big money striker.

Unless he was carrying an injury it was pretty weird. If I'm a United fan I'd be equally concerned that our new £74m striker couldn't score or even look especially useful against a team from League Two, mind.

Strikers dont always take penalties. So not taking the 1st or 2nd, fine.

But to be the very last outfield player to take one.

No idea. Maybe not. But a £70m + striker not taking one of the first 9 penalties against a league 2 club is embarrassing.

His win record is worse than Coyle and Gary Neville after the same number of games. He sticks to a formation that clearly doesnt suit the players he has.

What sort of attitude is "weve made our bed now lie in it?" Self punishment?

Would Mbuemo and Cunha not be useful to any semi competent manager.

I hope they keep him. Hes doing a dreadful job.

United choose this head coach for a reasons. Would I have pick him? No I wouldn't. They now made their bed, lie in it.

Given you backed him in the market now with a few signings, give him the time to see whether he is dud or not

How much time do you give him?

He has gained less points (28) than PL games he's been in charge for (29).

Now you're saying the club have signed players he doesn't want, probably best all round if he left now.

That's the stupid thing about it, added to the fact he's now put one of their best players out of position making him far less effective (Bruno) to accommodate them.

No way he lasts till Christmas, he'll be extremely lucky to see Halloween in fact, unless they apply Chaddy logic and lie in their bed 🤣

No my point, maybe I wasn't clear enough is they have got rid of players he doesn't want Garnacho and Rashford. He wanted players like Cunha and they back him.

I won’t matter how long they give him, or anybody else. The whole club has become unmanageable. The manager capable of bringing them success doesn’t exist. It’s like the “ Titanic “ before it hit the iceberg.

He said last season he'd walk away if he wasn't taking the team forward during this campaign. His interview after the Grimsby match made it sound like he was close to following through on that promise. Rumours that he offered to resign last season as well. 

Can't see how it ends well for Amorim at this point. That image of him cowering on the bench whilst his team lost a penalty shootout to Grimsby will haunt him forevermore. Absolutely brutal. Lose to Burnley and I wouldn't be surprised to see him offer to resign (either for the first time, or again, depending on who you believe). 

One of the most toxic situations I've ever seen, there. They underachieved post-Ferguson, significantly, but they're plumbing entirely new depths at the moment.

It looks like the players have given up on him and are just treading water until the new mug comes in. A great time to play them !

When we used to play them in the “ Fergietime “ era you had to win there to get a draw !
