alex l Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Rachel Dugdale was on 5 Live Breakfast - you can listen on BBC sounds and go back to about 6:28 - spoke well about the situation. Hopefully the criticism of the owners makes it back to them and isn't screened out by the board (which is what I personally think happens to a lot of the discontent). Perhaps the most telling line from what she said was along the basis of 'we fought all season to prevent relegation, yet the club has now self-relegated'. 5 Quote

Popular Post arbitro Posted 13 hours ago Popular Post Posted 13 hours ago Elliott Bennett nails it here. It's something that the Punekars and their cohorts will NEVER understand. FOV. 13 Quote
StHelensRover Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Some of our fans defending this decision on social media are thick beyond comprehension. They are an absolute dream for the owners and directors. 2 Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Yep dumb enough to say the savings from the women's team will go straight into the mens transfer pot. Idiots beyond belief. 4 Quote
rickard Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Discraceful. First it's the Women's Teams, then it will be the youth teams, then it will be the Men's teams... Just cluck off already Venkys. 2 Quote

Redundancies and deliberately relegating the womens team is a mere taster of what is to come. I read this morning that the vast majority of the players affected by this culling won't have the support of the PFA. The BBC article says you have to have played in the WSL to attain membership. Some of these will have nowhere to go for advice and it wouldn't surprise me if the shysters at Ewood took full advantage of this. Shame on the PFA. 10 Quote

Perhaps one of our very well paid male players could fund their legal fees. 1 Quote

I don't expect any of them to but it would be refreshing if some of the senior men spoke out. After all it could be them next. Quote

Not a current player obviously but Bennett providing some funds for them wouldn’t surprise me. Edited 11 hours ago by wilsdenrover 1 Quote

Embarrassing, the Venkys effect. 5 Quote
