A Wednesday situation of not paying wages etc will never happen here.

When push comes to shove they will always put the minimum amount in to keep things ticking over.

Yes the priority is obviously pay wages, tax, bills but don't bother too much about team investment etc unless there is a bit of surplus from sales.

Chicken industry principles - pre covid/Ukraine - where i presume minimum investment enabled maximum output = big profits from sheer volume of sales.

They've been trying to create that here for a long time on 3 year cycles imo.

Pity they don'y apply the same idea to season tickets.

No surprise to be honest if it's happens. Her role is what was CEO Job description was.

It didn't sound like the newly reconstituted role consisted of much more than overseeing things in the hospitality areas on match day tbh.

I may be wrong, but I really don’t see the owners being interested in the slightest in watching the highlights of a pre-season friendly in Spain.

You are probably correct, it’s owners that care, who would be checking how pre- season is going and how the new signings look and if they are value for money.

We can hope, though I suppose.

It’s over a month since the Community Trust advised Companies House that Waggott is no longer one of their directors.

The club are yet to do the same.

Incompetence or something else?

Still employed

This moron runs our lot close in the fuckwit stakes. Another grand old club being destroyed by a useless owner. When will the authorities act?

They've just managed to appoint a new manager. No idea why anyone would take that job on right now.

Work is incredibly hard to come by as a Manager in the upper leagues, there will always be people willing to take a chance. Same with us not matter how far we sink.

Yeah, true. Also it's a can't lose situation.

I think any run of the mill or young manager or head coach will take the first serious job offered to them if they've been out of work a while and aren't multi millionaires.

As said it's a no lose situation as you get big rewards if successful and rewarded anyway for failure, many of them are only in it for a wage and because they know nothing else.

Whenever has anyone heard of a club never being able to attract a first team boss ?

As said many times, the ‘governing bodies’ and leagues of English football are purely competition organisers, nothing else.

They don’t ’safeguard’ the game one iota, as long as all the teams turn up 46 times, they’re happy.

Sheffield Wednesday’s problems are growing. Looks like minutes from meetings are being withheld from fans for some reason, just like at Ewood.

I think it was the same account but I read that all the EFL said was "all we're concerned about is Sheffield Wednesday fulfilling their fixtures"

They literally didn't give a toss about anything else.

They're also quite keen on promoting the 'EFL' in the USA judging by recent social media activity. Conveniently that ties with the recent emergence of USA owned clubs in Wrexham and Birmingham.

Perhaps if they spent less time helping certain clubs with their overseas growth and more time focusing on the ongoing destruction of clubs like Rovers, Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday their competition might be better.

They'll only intervene when Wednesday can't fulfil their fixtures, and that's only because of the damage it will do to their reputation and the hassle of sorting out the fixtures.

Or as long as they get their huge backhanders they're happy.
