I'll say again, people need to put the future and wellbeing of the Club they love first rather than there own personal entertainment and pleasure. We are protesting for the right reasons.

That should really be respected.

I'm not suggesting that it shouldn't be respected, if that's what you're implying.

The reality is that some people will attend Ewood no matter what, other people won't. The same as it was at Blackpool and Wednesday.

Each to their own, it's a personal decision, whether we agree or not.

That is respected, but Wheelton is just saying how it is actually is with a big chunk of the rump match goers that remain, not how we on here would like it to be.

Its not asking much to Boycott one game, its not just about how we on here would like it..its for the future betterment of all.

I think they have got the targeted boycott game horribly wrong unfortunately.

The rearranged Sheffield Wednesday game was the one.

A bleak February Tuesday night, only being played because of the club's negligence to invest in the past 15 years.

It should have been that game that was targeted with the above point hammered home.

A Saturday 3pm game is an incredibly tough sell to boycott as we don't get that many Saturday 3pm's as it is.

It isn’t asking much and it is for our betterment.

However at least 4,5k will not, under any circumstances, boycott the Watford game.

Great work by The Coalition 👏.

The fact it's been picked up by SSN and the BBC, gives Pasha and The Roas no place to hide, dragging them back into the spotlight light where they really don't want to be.

Huge, huge concern for me is that there are still Rovers fans who don't seem to believe that we, as fans should be doing anything to get these lot out.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the right course of action, if any action at all. That's up to every individual.

However, I can't wrap my head around anyone who calls themselves a Rovers fan and wants Venkys to stay as the owners of the club. It just doesn't add up at all.

They aren't Rovers fans.

Simple as that.

That's their prerogative,we agree on that.

Do they understand why protest does matter though?...we cant carry on like this.

I've assumed the ones i've seen on Twitter fall into one of those categories you've listed above.

I saw the Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust calling for all Sheff wed fans to refrain from spending any money in the ground at all. Some in the comments suggesting that they should boycott the game entirely.

Agreed, I'd even go so far as to say that most of that number wouldn't have any awareness of a planned boycott or this letter or indeed the strength of feeling among some parts of the fanbase.

For one reason or another there is a large portion of people who go who simply have little to no interest or understanding in what goes on other than from 3pm - 5pm (or 12:30pm-2:30pm these days) every other Saturday at Ewood.

It seems to be that they can switch off their Rovers interest for all but a couple of hours a fortnight and even then won't trouble themselves with matters around ownership, management, decisions. Just turn up, sit there, hope we win and shrug shoulders if it goes badly and see you in a fortnight.

I'm not criticising that, I envy it, as I sometimes wish that was the extent of my interest in this club and I could put myself in such a bubble and carry on going and enjoying that routine. I can't do that though.

But I know from the people I sit near that many of them would react with surprise, amazement, horror or bewilderment if I asked them about a plan to boycott the Watford game. Many wouldn't have heard about it, many wouldn't even entertain the idea as a serious suggestion. Some don't even understand that there's anything wrong with the club because, up to this point, their little routine of visiting Ewood hasn't been seriously affected.

No I don’t think they do understand, SG.

If anything they think the likes of the Coalition and crap fans are the problem not ‘the club’

Surely they quickly pivot to the Sheff Wed game. The Watford one could very well backfire.

It will backfire.

I don't see them pivoting unfortunatly.

Incredible that they even went for this game when they had that rearranged game right there in front of them, that plenty will miss anyway.

Yes the Sheff Wed fans are being very supportive. They can empathise better than most with where we find ourselves.

Posted a message about it in one of the Facebook supporters groups, decent size with around 8k members. As expected the first few replies have not been supportive. Sad that so many fans seem content with the owners. Stockholm Syndrome.

Yet, look at the reaction post the second postponement, the fanbase was moving our way, midweek turn outs were showing that, it was happening anyway without them particularly releasing. Next steps would have been to get real turnouts published far and wide.

But now, bloody mindedness, especially when it comes to ‘my club’ means they will not take to being told ‘officially’’. ‘Just get behind the team’.

The regime will be delighted this morning.

The turnouts are out there & people aren't bothered

Don’t be fooled by a handful of posters. The overwhelming consensus is that change is needed. I understand why some say “support the team” perhaps because they believe Venkys will never sell (which may be true). But even then, the demand is simple: we want Venkys to show they're even know we exist!

This letter is smart because it forces an answer either way. They respond with investment, dare I say,,,, engagement, or they ignore it, which tells us everything we need to know. If it’s the latter, then it’s clear there is no change, and protests will only intensify.

No one, and I mean no one with an ounce of common sense can be content with this ownership. It's just not possible.

(this isn't a dig at you in anyway, btw.)

I believe the club will do some form of 150th anniversary incentive - will we finally see the kit? kids for a quid? owners putting a drink behind the bar etc etc.. They will 100% get out of this unscathed like usual and the fans will be made to look in the wrong.

i.e. can't even boycott one game and cause infighting between fans.

One thing out of this whether you boycott or not. US as fans have to stick together for one simple cause, to rid the club from the rot that has taken over.

You keep saying this.

What ‘people’? And out where? I’ve not seen them any where apart from unconfirmed posts from Carl on here.

The Wednesday game will suffer from an 'organic' boycott anyway.

After the Ipswich debacle when they charged folk again for the replay, a precedent has been set now and they'll have to do the same for the Wednesday game. This time, I reckon folk will just not pay it, a lot of ST holders will swerve it, and we'll see a lower turnout than was had against Oxford.
