The state of that sign!

The senior training centre one is just as bad, possibly even worse. Really poor stuff.

It must be getting to the point were the fans forum should publish their minutes. Who is the authority that makes the rules about these meetings. They should be informed of the clubs doings.

The offer has been open for years for people to join the Forum.

Maybe take up that offer rather than snipe from the sidelines about the minutes every time there is a meeting.

It's getting tiring TBH. If you think the process could be improved, get involved yourself.

Every time we see all these knickers getting in a collective twist.

It’s VenkyRovers, of course there will be a song and dance over them one way or another. You can’t expect anything else. Personally speaking, having to wait an extra week or so to read the standard disingenuous claptrap from Waggott Suhail makes no odds.

I have many criticisms of the fans forum, some probably justified others almost certainly not.

I keep these to myself as I have neither the drive, determine nor the wherewithal to take part in these meetings.

Having said the above 😁😁

23 people (15 fans, 8 club representatives) attended the last meeting for which the minutes have been published.

I think this number is too high, if nothing else it makes agreeing on the minutes nigh on impossible.

I guess the counter to this is that if only (say) 4 people attended for each side, the ‘closed shop’ argument would gain more traction.

I would expect the FF would generate the minutes, approve them amongst themselves and then forward to the club. I may be wrong, but reading between the lines that appears to be not the way it operates.

It’s the fact that people who went can’t or won’t talk about it until the minutes finally come out that annoys me.

Us fans are starved of communication from the club and this is the only real route we have to hear what’s going on.

So just tell us instead of all this gentlemen’s agreement bollocks whilst another 4 weeks go by of hush hush I know stuff but can’t tell you.

Basically, I’m not breaking confidence, as, this is the only current communication open with the club.

Breach that and we’ve nowt at all.

I understand the frustration and so do the entire Forum, but that’s the lay of the land.

Do you think there’s a point where no communication would be the better option?

Is there a governing body, that says that clubs must hold these meetings ?

Trust me, I'm extremely frustrated by the rules, but will respect them. Falling out with our fellow supporters is the last thing we need given how hard we've worked to bring the coalition together based on mutual respect.

However what I do promise. If the minutes dont reflect what was said then I will be first to break ranks and clear them up.

Ive always stood for transparency (I dont know any other way,)

This is the supporters club being dismantled and I will always stand by my pledge to members of supporters groups I represent to always act honestly and with the utmost integrity.

I've asked tonight where we are up to on mutually agreed minutes amongst the supporter attendees and no doubt will be emailed back once that communication is read.

I was asked to attend by the club as the only ewood comms open , and against my own judgement chose to go.

I got some points across but as you'd possibly appreciate one meeting was never going to be enough to discuss 15 years of complete incompetence

The recently enacted Football Governance Act requires that clubs hold regular meetings with a representative group of supporters.

I believe they are completely breaching the EFL rules on fan engagement if this becomes the only vehicle

I think the EFL rules - which to a degree may be superseded by the new rules in the Football Governance Act - are that clubs are required to meet twice a season with a representative group of supporters. Not sure what the rules if any are regarding the release of minutes but I doubt if a delay of 2 or 3 weeks in release of the minutes means that those rules have been broken.

In that case couldn't the fans forum complain to the EFL and ask them to take the matter up with the club ?

For me it is not so much the delay in publishing the minutes, but the opportunity for the club to edit the minutes. Whether or not this has happened before, there is the opportunity for it to happen.

Its more complex than this, club has to submit fan engagement plan forwards. Whilst if they choose to go bare minimum it needs to be a democratic voice.
