Weimann turned out to be a decent signing, definitely signs there though that he may not have another season in him. Does very much fit the Eustace experience criteria though so wouldn't be surprised if he goes there. Could take him or leave him for me.

Weimann did enough to get another year, but the injury is a question mark against him. Wouldn't be unhappy to have him as a sub and grabbing some late goals, but will be more concerned if it is Batth who we don't tie down.

personally not looked into this too much yet but saw this on my feed this morning

Would be a good signing, though a few Clubs are apparently in for him - which rules us out!

Loans and freebies as usual I guess.

Would usually be about now that the club will feed something to Elliot saying we are "interested in x player" to try and get the fanbase talking about something else.

Or a new contract signing for one of our stars like

Lorenze Mullarkey-Matthews 😉

Wouldn't be too disappointed if Weimann went. I'm thankful for some of the crucial goals last season but I can't see him being able to play the way Ismael wants, so then you're essentially keeping him as a bench warmer when what we really need is improvement to the starting eleven.

To lose Batth would be much more disappointing given how solid he was at the back. Even as one of the older players I think he could still make a decent amount of appearances next year. We probably need another CB on top of that as well if Carter can't stay fit, and who knows what kind of player Wharton will be after such a long layoff.

Weimann is a reliable off the bencher for me, some great clinch goals and evident of it. A useful player in my book

Thought Derby were flush with cash, high on ambition and on the up? As decent as he's been for us, if Weimann is the height of that ambition not sure they'll be much going on with them next season

2nd top scorer, a goal off top scorer, for a side who came very close to the playoffs. I think they'll see that as a decent signing for a squad player given where they finished. If they see him as the main man then yeh maybe they won't amount to much, but it's probably a squad player that can add some goals in tight games they're looking for.

He may be 34 but if there’s one player we should be busting a gut to get that’s Danny Baath. It was so telling when he was out injured and won’t be easily replaced.

He wants Weimann and Batth

Yeah I thought he'd be after Batth.

If I was Batth's agent I'd be touting him around the Championship at the moment. He can certainly get a bigger wage than we'll offer.

It's going to get complicated now that Waggott has been potted.

Looks like a slimmed down executive team.

That's part of the plan.

Remember the excuses about last summers late recruitment because they "had only just got in the building".

This years excuse is right here, having to put all there energy into this instead.

Don't be expecting any significant contracts or transfer news any time soon.

I'm fearing operation dumb down in the latest chapter of managed decline is about to hit another gear.

If they are going to shrink the club to its own income levels or thereabouts it's going to get very painful indeed and we'll only get rid of puppets once the deed is done.

Didn't it say in the LT our initial proposal to him had been rejected?

I mean how difficult can it really be to re-sign a 34 year old CB for a further 12 months? What the hell were we offering?
