So predictable isnt it - if we couldn't even tempt Batth and Weimann to signΒ  new one year deals, how the hell are we going to persuade the likes of Brittain and Travis to commit to long term contracts?

So much for Jackson's claim that talks with Brittain were at an "advanced stage" a month or two ago as well.

I know theΒ  LT dont want to bite the hand that needs them but they really need to stop being a PR mouthpiece for the Club and tell things how they are. We're in extremely dangerous waters.

And this is were playing stupid pricks and hardball neglecting contracts gets us.

Other clubs alerted and his agent finds out how much he's likely to get there so the demands change in talks with Rovers and his head is in the departure lounge.

ALL of Rovers making this anybody who keeps defending it or just blaming the players is very very naive and i genuinely suspect the Rovers end is just part of that penny pinching clown Suhails way of operating. Dumb enough to think if they leave it as long as possible players will get tetchy and desperate and grab what's offered.

Doesn't work like that with good players, might be having a poor season then suddenly hit form and bang others want them and their contract has begun to tick away. Then again they probably do it on purpose just because they won't or can't pay the going championship rate these days.

Tossers, sale now inevitable OR the contract play out.

it must be desperate when there are not even any silly  transfer stories floating about😟

We've bid around 50% of the fee Kapaudi's Club want for him and enquired about Pye but didn't even bother submitting an offer when we were quoted Β£3m.

I think that about covers it for the time being.

im`e expecting a flood of cheap/past it and not very good players to arrive in the last week of pre season when staff panic and realise the squad needs numbers

At least hitting Rudy’s target of 3000 academy minutes will be achieved relatively early.

Now linked with another defensive midfielder after De Keersmaecker. My bet is that Travis will be sold this window.Β

Football manager legend relegated last yearΒ

Maybe not the Norwegian eredivise coup we've had beforeΒ

That's why they are desperately scrabbling around for a defensive mid i think it's been pretty obvious for a while, once they've found one he'll be allowed to speak to potential suitors.

Then he's off.

I would not classify Mannsverk as a defensive midfielder. More box to box. More Tronstad than Travis imo.Β

Don't think there's much doubt about Travis being sold.

Gossip around Brockhall is Tronstad wants out to go back 'home'.

Based on last season Id say Travis is far more box to box than Tronstad. Travis was getting forward much more and I think the main reason he had such a good year. Lacks the technical ability on the turn to be a sitter, but quality getting forward and getting stuck in Robbie Savage style.

Or maybe he just wants out because those running the club are an utter embarrassment.

Either way, the way Rovers go about things Tronstad will end up walking for nothing next summer.

Be no surprise to me if they both went now the rumours of Tronstad wanting out are no doubt linked to him realising he won't get another decent deal here.

Doesn't seem the type to just see out his contract probably thinks #### it i'll be off asap if i can find a new club.

Yeah, just read that he played 14 games for Cardiff last season after joining them on loan in January. Can't say I remember him. Anyone recollect anything memorable about his time there other than being in a relegated team?

Well, he did make his only assist for the season against us back in March....

Looks comfortable on the ball and being fairly press-resistant. His offensive contributions (goals/assists) are next to nothing according to Transfermarkt; last competitive goal scored was back with Molde in 2023. Also seems to be injury-prone having being out for around 5-6 months for the last two seasons. It's a gamble but he'll probably be cheap because of it.Β

A shoo-in for Rovers then!

still no breakthrough with the contract talks(i doubt there has been any),i think he`ll end up at derby.it`s odds on that our three best players won`t be here by the end of the transfer window,******* bunch of chicken rapists,i hope they all meet a painful and slow ending

What contract talks ...Β

there's 2 channel in their finances ... incoming monies will disappear in inflated running costs and monies from india(SBI Monies) actually goes into running cost ...

they don't want promotion hence we are always sabotage in january... i hope and pray something major effs up and someone becomes whistle blower

I don’t remember him at all, worryingly his highest rating in a match for Cardiff came against us at Ewood too πŸ˜‚
