rog of the rovers Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Everyone has a price. We are great at finding people to take our players off us. Still amazed with the Ennis deal from a couple of years ago! 1 Quote

Sadly, Sporting Directors of the ilk of Dougie Freedman are as rare as rocking horse shit.Β They seem to have gone around the young British coach type route too often, guys who either guarantee nothing but stability or flop. If they'd gone for a JDT and backed him it could be a different story. Quote
harryhealless1928 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If they offer anything remotely reasonable for Gueye (Β£2 million?),I think we have to snap their hands off. Leaves us desperate up front, though. Leonard is injury-prone and notΒ up to Championship standard. He needs a loan.Β Anyone think Buckley could do a job as a "false nine". Maybe a "very false nine". Lets be honest, he isn`t going to make the grade in any other position, even after years of potential promise. Takes a decent penalty, though!Β Maybe we would just have to play without a striker if Ohashi unavailable. Worked for Arsenal! Quote

Derby haven't put another bid in?Β How would you know that?Β I stand by what I posted on Monday morning - at that point, I was told Derby were leading the way and Brittain would be gone by the end of the week - that does not suggest to me that Derby have done nothing since making their first bid some 3 weeks ago!!! As for Brittain signing a new contract - I posted what I was told 3 days before the Stanley game ie Rovers would announce Brittain's new contract and two new signings before the Stanley game.Β So what happened before the Stanley game - Middlesbrough made their play for Brittain and we are told a medical issue with Baradji had been found.Β ok fair enough Mercer 10 hours ago, Mercer said: All you seem capable of is rubbishing players and managers when they have left Rovers, rubbishing players other teams sign and glorifying, parrot fashion, all that comes out of Rovers. utter rubbish. our record in Eustace was 2 wins in the last 11 games.Β Wrong here, I do rubbish some players when they leave but not everyone. Some clubs have made some smart quality signings this season. Do you want a list?Β I am gutted Brittain is going cos I rated him that highly and is one of best players.Β 9 hours ago, Mercer said: Β What is the infamous Nicko's 'hit' record!?Β Miles better than yours. However, just seems strange no one, including yourself, on this MB who uses Twitter posted about it despite the concerns expressed by a number of posters on the Pre Season thread about the lack of a friendly game for this coming weekend.Β Those posters included Chaddy who claims he saw the Twitter post yet made posts on 20 July about behind closed door friendlies being arranged for this weekend. What I posted about the Netherlands' friendly on 20 July was to my knowledge not in any media, news or social, that I use.Β As stated earlier today, I was told about the friendly by a Rovers' employee. Β Yes Mercer I read the post from Rovers extra twitter account who posted about the NEC possible friendly days before you Quote

Baradji if he signs cant play in midfield and further forward at the same time. Versatility is useful but you cant play one player across 2 positions at the same time so you cant just sign less players. Baradji also seems to be a central midfielder, not a number 10.Β Quote

Exiled in Toronto Mk2 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago When Mercer is posting about himself and other folk arguing with the Chadbot, you know thereβs no news. Have to say VI is growing on me, seems to know what he wants and itβs clearly not what we had. Seems like forever that weβve had no pace, not enough height, not enough physicality, two defensive centre-mids because our defence was crap, and keeper even worse. About time to try something different. Brittain had a good season but JDT had him on the bench for JRC. As to losing Weimannβs and Dolanβs goals, weβve said this every season since Dacky/Graham broke up. Someone will step up. 3 Quote
