Didn’t exactly light the championship up and is a terrible finisher. Hold up play is very good but it should be for a bloke who’s 6’5.  If we’re selling him to an UAE side we should try for £5m 🤣 ordinarily yes,id`e sell him to,you have to consider though, who will we get to replace him??? Baradji if he signs cant play in midfield and further forward at the same time. Versatility is useful but you cant play one player across 2 positions at the same time so you cant just sign less players. Baradji also seems to be a central midfielder, not a number 10. He has played there for current club last season 4 times. If we signed 3 more we have 26 players in the squad, how much bigger do you want? Quote

There will be more than likely be a couple of loan outgoings, Batty for example.....and possibly one or two permanent departures if they can shift the likes of Buckley. That aside, its not as simple as squad size. How many of them are actually good enough? That squad is currently getting padded out with a lot of unproven youth. 1 Quote

I haven't include Buckley or Garrett in my list. and my list including Tyjon, Montgomery and Michalski. That's it so how is alot of unproven youth? Quote
pick32 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Surprised Thierry Ambrose isn’t here already, relegated Belgium side, Man City youth product and a winger 2 Quote

We repeatedly fall away partly due to a lack of depth. But again, you are just counting them like they are all the same. Forshaw, he shouldnt be starting any games. Carter and Wharton have massive injury concerns which makes us need more cover there. You include Michalski who is 3rd choice keeper, adds to your abitrary number but wont play. Tyjon who has never started a senior football match, we had no idea how many times he can play. Montgomery has but again we dont know fully where he is at in terms of number of games. Hedges isnt good enough to start games. We cant leave ourselves short. But will, I have no doubt. 3 Quote

Leaves us desperate up front, though. Leonard is injury-prone and not up to Championship standard. He needs a loan. Anyone think Buckley could do a job as a "false nine". Maybe a "very false nine". Lets be honest, he isn`t going to make the grade in any other position, even after years of potential promise. Takes a decent penalty, though! Maybe we would just have to play without a striker if Ohashi unavailable. Worked for Arsenal! Sell Gueye for peanuts ...no way. We won't find any better.... Hes got a full pre season and will be even better coming season. Hes physical and powerful just what we need. 2 Quote

Noticed you didn't acknowledge the point on squad quality. As I say, its not just about numbers....it's about having players who are good enough 🙂. 2 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A bit suspicious this Gueye stuff i wonder who is really putting it out there, Quote
harryhealless1928 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Well Gueye has a poor goal-scoring record(fewer than Dolan or Weimann last season I think). Decent in the air and hold-up play good. Defensive attributes better than forward ones for me. The idea that VI doesn`t fancy him to start I have no idea about that. Not the worst non-scoring centre-forward that`s rocked up at Ewood. But we would still need another player to finish the moves off if Ohasi was injured. Of course he might improve. Then again he might not. 1 Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I know!? Why don't we keep Gueye and buy another Striker? You know what a normal club would do...No offence to Leonard but he needs offloading...New Striker, Yuki and Gueye would be a good variation of strikers...Not at this club though. 4 Quote

'No fee has been agreed but personal terms are being discussed' 'A 3 tear contract is on the table' etc Er... to talk personal terms to a player under contract a fee must first be agreed and permission granted, nobody goes public with stuff like that unless Rovers have agreed to release him already. So it whiffs of someone trying to drum up interest or it's tapping up. Quote

Yes I know it's a long season you think I didn't know about how tough of a season is at this season. So instead of Michalski being a 3rd choice you want another keeper? What is wrong with Michalski being 3rd choice? Highly rated and capped for England youth level. Well you aren't going to know unless you give Tyjon a chance? Good enough, old enough. He is highly rated again so give him a chance. Montgomery is going to a good player, plenty of energy and can get box to box which we want We have category 1 academy for a reason to produce first team footballers. Not having Forshaw and Hedges debate again with you. Having another 3 signings gives us a big enough squad. We are 2 deep in every position plus extra keeper, extra centre back, extra 2 centre midfielder and extra striker. That's 27 players in a squad Quote
