The club didn't want to pay contracts of 10k pwk or more to them i assume. If Suhail is saying spending big money doesn't guarantee higher league position you can bet the thinking is same with the wages. At some point this man will drag this club back into league 1 in the near future i'd say that IS guaranteed. 1 Quote

Whilst I don't necessarily agree with it I can understand why they might be reluctant to sanction new deals for Batth and Weimann at their respective ages. Travis is at a peak sort of age though and not to agree terms with him is lunacy. A decision that imo will cost us dearly by season end but then again so will not having a decent Dolan replacement or enough firepower etc. You can go on and on. 1 Quote

Contrary to popular belief Gestede is the most hated man there, even more than Suhail. Long serving employees 10, 15, 20, 25 plus are exiting left right and centre and he's the route cause. One employee, I talk to weekly who is pre-venkys stated its the worse its been at any point in his Rovers career. We've got s ship people want off, and no amount of PR is going to mask it. People are willing to talk and some maybe about to on record too. I cant say much more. Nowadays I avoid transfer stuff as its not worth hassle, but the clock is ticking on things the ciub wont want public!!!! As you know I wont put anything in written format until I have in my possession bullet proof docs to back it up or know it to be true as its horses mouth and can't be disputed  20 Quote

He claimed at the FF the wage budget had increased and expected the clubs wage bill to be around 12th in the championship come the end of August. The new players are on buttons in comparison to others, so how he can state this I do not know 4 Quote

We had this during the Kean days, employees reaching out to the protest movement to get us to get word to India. This codswallop the fans anger affects the players is blinkered spin, many are behind what the fans are doing On the back of the infamous players meeting stitch up with fans, these players started following interactiing on my social media (Sam Gallagher) for example, as he's gone, it's safe to mention. Now no one sees the likes on your post on x, staff are liking our post!!! And it isn't with a strong set of results on the pitch...Just when there was a glimmer that perhaps things were actually starting to turn around too - and then someone screeches past in their go-faster-stripes Ford Escort and side-swipes yer pride and joy as if it was a jalopy. Typical! VENKY ESCORT DRIVERS OUT!! 3 Quote

Ideally national press if the locals won't publish. It always comes out as hearsay via the forum or Twitter and half the fans who attend don't realise what is really going on. All it does is cause divide... and surprise when one fan wants a board member gone and the other has no idea why. Quote

Are you going to pay the legal fees? People speaking out is sensitive, its their livelihoods. It takes very brave people to come forwards and requires a significant amount of trust. Papers won't run with stuff when they do have the evidence in black and white due to legals. I've personally in the past provided documents to local and national press, whose editors won't risk running the story's, which has frustrated the journalist, who has wrote the story Leaked emails etc, always needs consideration to be handled delicately. Line the ducks up and ensure you get good legal advice. This is about shifting the rot, not being a source of gossip in the pub to convince people, who if they cant see with their own eyes what's going on after all these years, then its a waste of time and effort to change their views. 5 Quote
philipl Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Sad to say it picking up similar bad vibes to what Glen is writing about. Going into the new season as a very unhappy set up. Ismael presser seemed very downbeat for the first game of the new season. I fear the down turn inTrav and Tronstad form is because their heart isn't in it any more. 5 Quote

Either way, with fewer English qualifying players in and around the first team, even now before any more are sold off (already lost Dolan, Batth,, JRC & Brittain - along with several English loanees, from last years calculation, with Pears & Pickering no longer regular starters), it is very unlikely we would get anywhere near the required amount of minutes played by English qualifying players to keep the 4 esc slots we currently have. If they do want to get Baradji (or any other potential esc signing) in, they had better do it this summer (or possibly January at the latest) as we will highly likely not be able to sign any next season. It is entirely likely that if Travis & Cantwell leave, that Rovers will have well under the required 20% of minutes played by English players to have even 1 esc slot next season 24/25 onwards Criteria However, from this season onwards clubs will be able to plan for the number of ESC slots that they have, with the possibility that they could only have one if the number of minutes for EQP is lower than 20%.  Number of available ESC places Weighted EQP minutes % Premier League Championship League One League Two >= 35% 4 4 2 2 >= 30% 3 3 1 1 >= 25% 2 2 – – >= 20% 1 1 – – Edited 7 hours ago by KentExile 1 1 Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Sounds like a horror show in the background and excuse my ignorance but how/why can’t ex players/staff come forward to discuss the club? Is it a case of defamation? Reason I ask is the latest podcasts there Owen coyle took a battering from some players isn’t that the same or is that different? Quote

Both good players that I'd prefer to keep, but honestly I wouldn't lose sleep over any member of this squad leaving - they're all cloggers. They do, however, need to be replaced if they leave. Quote

Who the hell knows how good the players they've brought in are. Who knows whether Weimann and Batth will fall off a cliff this season. If those players listed leave they have to be replaced - if they leave and aren't then we're in serious trouble. 1 Quote

Thanks, amended my post. I suppose also Baker, Woodrow, ACD, Sanderson etc all also played a part in the calculation too, & no longer here As always, it feels like cost cutting in the here & now (foreign esc players are cheaper than the English players we had/currently have), but no thoughts to the future... 1 (at most) esc slot next season so the transfer "plan" goes out of the window. Although I suppose then, they will just pad the squad with U21s Edited 7 hours ago by KentExile 1 Quote
