Have we ever had a worse transfer window than this one?

  • Lost half our first team
  • Losing our team captain
  • Lost our 2nd and 3rd top scorers from last season and haven't replaced them.
  • Lost all our loan based attackers leaving us with nothing squad wise in attack.
  • Replaced championship experience for a cheap foreign legion.
  • Replaced squad players with academy players that have either had no first team experience or failed to impress on loans to lower division sides.
  • Still expected to sell several more first team squad members such as Pears, Buckley (maybe even Hyam and Tronstad). To be replaced by more unknowns if they are even replaced at all.

Thanks Rudy. I am sure our wage bill has somehow magically remained the same though.

Ismael talks about it being a transition season but what we are supposed to be transitioning to?

League one, Ismael is only here for 3 years of pay let’s be real.

Could not agree more.

Guess Rudy and Adam picked up some ideas from their time with Steve Kean.Β

Watch him sign for PSG next weekΒ πŸ˜‰Β

Chuopo-Moting was awful and somehow played for PSG and Bayern. He had a genuine contender for worse miss of all time for PSG.Β

An international loan must end during a transfer window of the parent club so October can’t possibly be right.

Β

But likewise June sounds wrong also, surely it would be until the January window?

Our transfer window will be open then so doesn’t sound wrong to me.

The only other option would have been January β€˜26 but presumably they want him for the start of their next season (February) too.

The MLS season ends in October. Maybe that is why it’s stated until then.Β
but why would San Diego say otherwise? Also, I think Leo will be a cracking RB.
God we are a mess.

So I'm guessing Baradji comes in now? Or are we going to drag it out till the last day?Β

Also the pain in us not even securing a new RW is quite frankly embarrassing.

and theΒ pretence that we only need one more signing if Travis stays. Astounding.Β

Because they’re competent?

I note that our intrepid reporter Elliott Jackson has not yet noticed that there is a discrepancy on how long for, and that the MLS team seem to be claiming there is an option to buy

He may not have noticed Duru has left on loan at all, it seems that his collegue Dan Barnes thought it only warranted a sentence at the end of his report on Mafoumbi's release

You need to give him a bit longer to catch up on this thread. 😁

Off topic (but this group gets the most traffic), not looking to discuss the chants from Saturday (which I didnt hear from the JW, W12).

But I see the club are now "Restricting Responses" on social media posts....

Not necessarily a bad idea on this occasion, but it is the first time I've seen them do it. Would it shock anyone if they used the tactic much more often, and I wonder if that'll become more and more the norm as they continue to strangle opportunities for the truth.

So we've potentially loaned a player to a team and we don't know when he's due to return?

He's surely on first deal terms still.Β  Do we have any duty of care for the lad once San Diego finish for the season.Β  Surely he can't afford to be living there on Β£500 a week.Β Β

Are they painting us as racists again?

They're pulling out the old playbook.

I am not sure what 'Restricting Responses ' means /
