Our squad and potential signings suggest Ismael will continue with the 4-2-3-1 formation I agree that we played great, and will continue with 4231. But looking at the squad we are going to play 343 at some point. Quote

Eustace, having played at this level, knew that they're by-and-large journeymen cloggers so he focused on camp morale and drilling tactics into them. Sums it up very nicely. In my opinion, both really good managers in different ways, I also happen to think that Ismael is also a good manager and that the stooges and owners may have got lucky a third time. 2 Quote

He will need to be a bloody good manager to achieve relative success at a club where the ownership seems hell bent on destruction rather than build and decline over aspiration and ambition. 4 Quote

Theyak1986 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Weβre being linked with GAIS defender Filip Beckman. Anyone know anything about him? 22 year old centre half Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Wouldn't surprise me if we sign 3 or 4 players in the next 8 days.Β Expect Travis to Derby be confirmed tomorrow, Buckley going to Saudi, Pears to go maybe Derby, Leonard on loan or permanent. I would be against Leonard leaving permanently. Still think he has a future here. Need regular first team football. Derby will need a keeper if their number 1 leaves for Brentford as the rumours suggest.Β Β Quote

I really liked JDT, but you'd need to have never seen a football to not bring Adam into the squad around that time. If anything, I criticise his handling of Wharton, who should have been playing far more in favour of the fairly abject Tyler Morton. 2 Quote

J*B Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Earliest we can get another ESC player is January if we convert Kargbo and/or Toth. So we can firmly rule out any ESC player (this window, at least). 2 Quote

JamieUK Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) If they are replacing players that looked out of favour and with no way back, with signings to go into the team then I will give them credit. My expectation/fear is that given Buckley/Duru/Leonard/Pears havenβt been involved then they've not been counted as needing to be replaced. If they do then the squad quickly looks to have a chance: Toth, NEW, Young keeper Alebiosu, Miller, Hyam, Carter,Β McLoughlin, Wharton, Ribeiro, Pickering Tronstad, Taveres,Β Baradji, NEW, Forshaw, Montgomery NEW WINGER Kargbo, Henriksson, Cantwell, Tyjon, Hedges, De Neve Ohashi, Gueye, NEW If Gueye isn't fancied and he is shipped out, 2 strikers coming in that can compete with/are better than Ohashi then happy days. Of course we're reliant on players hitting the ground running and I still think we lack quality on the left but the squad potentially could be a lot better than expected given all the experienced departures. He clearly had high standards and, if you didn't either buy into that and work hard, or didn't have the talent, you were out. Players like Szmodics and Wharton thrived - both of whom have spoken publicly in positive terms about JDT's influence on their development. If we'd have backed him and Broughton properly, we wouldn't be pissing around in the Championship still now. 3 Quote
