Yes but apparently he's a midfielder/Full back.

So no use as regards replacing Hyam assuming he has gone.

Steve Bruce is quoted as saying he thinks the lads best position is full back.

I think the notion is that it frees Miller up to play CB (where Hibs fans seemed to think he was at his best) as there is more RB cover.

And no, I'm not happy about it. Hope we can find a decent free agent CB promptly but I doubt we will.

I know numbers don't always tell the whole story, but if Hyam does go, here's some stats.

Of the 8 players that will have been moved on, between them they made 223 starts last season, 219 of those were full 90 minute appearances (meaning those 8 averaged 28 full games each).

3 of our top 5 appearance makers are gone,ย It also leaves out Aynsley Pears, who sits second for minutes and appearances; include him in the exiled list and that becomes 4 of our top 5.

I've excluded all loanees from the list too.

That is nothing short of a catastrophic loss of experience and continuity.

No amount of lipstick can hide that.

To add to this because it's a crazy percentage, If Hyam does leave as expected, that's 43% of all potential minutes from last season eradicated in the form of permanent transfers out.

Over 50% if Pears doesn't play another minute for us (although I do far prefer Toth).

I seem to be the only one who's clocked this.

You might just be the only one taking it seriously. I think he was kidding, or being a windup.

I know I shouldn't be supprised, but this is what we have been reduced to. Picking up the scraps from league 1 promoted clubs, 3 hours after the deadline.ย

Beyond pathetic. I hate this club

I'm not sure that is always sound logic.

I'm not particularly hopeful about this one, but most of our best signings were cast-offs or, in the very least, not star players at clubs at our level or below.ย

Thereโ€™s a couple of names still free but not a great list:

Kurt Zouma (not happening)

Kortney Hause

Craig Dawson (35 now)

Elliot Mooreย

Tyler Magloire ๐Ÿ‘€

Yes Im sure that was the thinking. Mark BRFC flagged it up earlier as the likely plan all along.

I reckon Tronsrad would have been gone as well had Baradji not had a serious medical issue. How we do on the pitch this season does not seem to be a priority with the regime.

Just as making the play offs did not seem to be important when VI came in even though we were comfortably in the top 6 when he arrived.

It's all absolutely scandalous. I mean what's the point in any of it?

We're only existing to pay Pasha/Gestede/VI a handsome wage for as long as possible.

I asked the question , he/she said it's genuine.

What more can you do ?ย

We weren't comfortably in the top 6 though, none of us could believe we were still there if I remember right.ย

We'd won 2 from 11.

When he arrived we were 6th one point in the playoff and 3 points from 9th 4 points from 11th wouldnโ€™t call that comfortableย

Just been looking at Taylor Gardner-Hickman's career and spotted a strange trend.

Bristol City loaned him, with an option to buy (which they took up).

Then Birmingham loaned him, with an option to buy (which they took up).

Now we've loaned him, with an option to buy.

That's every single move he has made in his career, a loan with an option to buy. Of course we love to not exercise an option to buy, so that'll probably be the end of that part of his streak! We also have Baradji on a loan with an option to buy, and with them both being primarily CMs I can't imagine both are getting taken up. With our track record one would be a surprise.

Just maybe Baradji is not fit til Xmas or later, and Hickman is his replacement.. Guy from Hibs replaces Hyam.ย

So many strange transfers in 15 years, anything is possible at BRFC.ย

Two-year deal for Dom!

We were allegedly only offering him a one year extension ourselves, so also to 2027, so there can't be any 'well Wrexham were offering him a longer contract than we were willing to' etc.

TBH that's quite a short contract for a 29 year old they're supposedly paying 2.7 million for. If they're sensible they'll have added a one year extension option, but I suspect they're seeing themselves as being in the Prem by then.
