I suspect we are bang in a dogfight that im not sure that we are equipped to handle. all depend how quickly the new players settle in and perform and understanding the league. I would take mid table finish now and that what I expected after so many new signings and losing some key players Quote

I'd take that 2 Quote

I would take mid table finish now and that what I expected after so many new signings and losing some key players I think everybody would take a mid table finish now. Lost our best whole back 4 (admittedly the left back was on loan), our captain, an important goalscorer within the squad and our most productive attacking player. Too much of a churn. As I said at the time and you dismissed as me banging on about it, our inability to sort contracts has dropped us in the shit. Only Championship experience brought in is a centre back from Hull who struggled for regular football in his natural position and a player on loan who has struggled for regular game time and to discover his natural position at 3 different clubs. Also signed a player seemingly not close to being fit to play and obviously are massively short at the back and in other areas. Totally short of proven quality and experience. From what we have seen from the new players that have played, safe to say it will likely be a mixed bag. Quote

Alebiosu looked good so far, don't think we will miss Brittain too much but still miss him. McLoughlin has been solid signings. Looking forward to seeing Baradji play and we need an update were we are at injury wise. Tho he is someone Ismael wanted all summer. Same with Morishita.. Gudjohnsen is another one, I know not much about. Tavares looked good in a couple of games and poor last week. But it's a huge leap of gamble by Rovers but we still have plenty of championship experience around plus coaching staff who know this league very well. They will be plenty of ups and downs this season. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Of course we will miss Brittain, he is the best right back in the league. Tavares has had shockers in both of the home games. Looked decent against the mighty Bradford though. Baradji has the feel of someone whose whereabouts will be still unknown come December. We didnt manage to get that pace in attack that we were so desperate for. Although considering that we have stripped the squad of experience, have nowhere near enough defensive cover and still big question marks over goals, it seems not as big of a deal. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Genuinely, can you two just get your own thread? Or just start DMing each other. Either or. Quote

One of Ismael's main priorities signings type and player wise. 4 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: We didnt manage to get that pace in attack that we were so desperate for. If we sign a free agent centre back we have enough to January but signing a new centre back is number 1 priority come January window Quote

Torgeir Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Dennis to Antalyaspor? A little strange sentence in the article regarding Rovers: "The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Sky Bet Championship club Blackburn Rovers. The forward was offered a permanent deal after failing to make much impact at the club." https://dailynewshub.ng/transfer-emmanuel-dennis-set-for-antalyaspor-move/ Quote

Agreed- which is more likely too- can’t imagine Rovers offering him a contract as wouldn’t have made sense, although them lot don’t do anything that makes any logical sense Quote
