If our 10k pay cap is true, he won't be on much more than that at Espanyol, Real Madrid/Barcelona they are not! Unless they are willing to make him their highest paid player which seems highly unlikely. The O'Brien one was when they sent the paperwork in late despite them having over an hour to sort put whatever amendment it was they had to make.

I thought at the time they did it deliberately, when it happened again the year after I was 100% certain.

If he had lined up he would joined them on the 1st July or even pre contract. He didn't. So if this move was lined up for weeks then we hasnt it been sooner..

Anyway good luck to Ty and family on the move. Hope he has good career out there. Catalonia is a great place to live

I see people saying espanyol are a mid table la liga side - they aren’t they are and have been this last 5/6 seasons a yo yo team have been relegated and promoted and the two times they have stayed up has been on the last day 

it can be dressed up whatever way it suits people I’m basing my judgement off his own interview and the Turkish president comments. If a team constantly fighting relegation in la liga is his ambition fair play but I stand my ground that he’s went to where is offering him the most money - Turkish president said he wanted a prem move nobody was interested

A good move for Dolan going to La Liga, regardless of the team.

I think his biggest attribute is his overall ball control, which La Liga suits. He won't be reliant as much on speed/pace. Needs to work on his distribution, which is more intelligence than ability in his case.

Be interesting to see how he gets on there as Espanol were tripe in their forwards areas last season.

Still, moving to a La Liga club is a step up from a Championship one.

Undav not signing was the same window as O'Brien. The season we finished 7th under Tomasson.

I think the O'Brien signing was a much bigger miss than Undav given the fact we were extremely light in midfield at the time.

Or alternatively, Dolan (or more precisely  his agent) spending that extra 3 or 4 weeks negotiating a contract with several interested parties, has meant he has netted himself an extra £5K a week over the term of his contract than he would have got if he had signed a pre contract to join from the 1st July

He'd say we're looking to do most of our business at the back end of a transfer window to gain better value.

But because it's someone leaving Rovers Chaddy is surprised it's taken ages to negotiate a bigger contract? And says it's bad planning from Dolan lol
