My first thought upon seeing that Preston looking kit was that somebody, somewhere, was deliberately trying to piss the fans off.

I had the same thought when Coyle was appointed.

Then again, it is possible that this lot simply failed to notice that the full kit resembled a PNE kit.

One word to sum up everything about today, kit included. Embarrassing.

Watching today & wondering with the anniversary kit, is the badge the plasticy ironed on style badge for the cross?

If so feels a very cheap kop out & small detail (but one which makes a difference, and sums up the club) - for £80 or £200 in a box would at least expect something sewn on & some craftsmanship to it rather than a badly placed Maltese cross on a white plain grandad shirt - must have cost pennies to make too

The iron on platicar badge and pears kit were personal highlights for me in terms of showing the rank amateur operation. They’d clearly forgotten the keeper kit and hastily had to add the badge to a blank. The shiny plastic Maltese cross looked terrible

The sample that @rog of the rovers made for us was far superior & more authentic

Can't see Macron being around for much longer thankfully

@Herbie6590can this be made?

All things can usually be made…the challenge is the minimum order to make the price point competitive. We couldn’t use that badge though…

e.g. our 50’s retro shirts - if we could have sold say 500, the price point would have fallen significantly.

We take pre-orders to test the market, but to take pre-orders you still have to take a punt on the unit price. With the 50’s shirts I got it just about perfect (there’s only 1 left…in Medium if anyone is interested 😉) but if I hadn’t, it would have been a loss leader.

I have some ideas for future products using the same supplier & I hope to get some samples made up to test the water. The next shirt I’d like to do is the “Bob Crompton” - halves on different side, lighter blue, grandad collar…so if that appears in the Roverstore soon, we know they read this thread 😆

Umbro via Castore next season apparently.

Aren't Castore notorious for terrible quality?

One thing I'll give Macron is they typically haven't played it safe, whereas the last lot of umbro kits we got were lazy catalogue jobs with a Rovers badge glued on.

won't that agreement been done already? and if already next season shirts will be ordered already?

Marcon has produced some good kits over the term as kit provided

I’ve heard this too. Castore had a rough start with botched up kits like the wolves badge being upside down. Currently, the Everton kit looks pretty smart but don’t forget, the dingles have this manufacturer too.

And some bad ones. Any kit where the colours aren’t reversed, can’t be a good one

They supply knob end and Dingels so a big no from me.

If addidas or nike supplied them both would you say no to them too?
