He was one of the top three Championship midfielders for me. Wouldn't surprise me if they lose Hamer before the window shuts too. Some very big shoes to fill in that squad 1 Quote

Some very big shoes to fill in that squad We said similar yesterday. O'Hare could be another to leave. Sheffield United still have parachute payments coming in which makes selling so many players whilst not spending much seems odd. Quote

I think the case with Hamer, Souza & Ahmedhodzic is that they are all much better than Championship level, so whilst they may be prepared to give igt 1 year to get promoted, they were always likely to be off if that didn't happen. Personally see O'Hare as being a little below their level, still very good for the Championship, bugt not quite as glaringly playing below his level as the 3 I mentioned above The others they have lost were either loans (Gilchrist, Brereton, Souttar, Rak-Sakyi, Clarke, Holding) or players not from their first 11 (Moore, Brewster) if I recall rightly. Still a huge turnover of players though Edited 3 hours ago by KentExile Quote
Ossydave Posted 25 minutes ago Posted 25 minutes ago Fair play Sheff Weds, a well executed protest and getting the coverage on Sky, good support from Leicester fans too for it. As an aside their first corner was better than we’ve mustered up for a while despite all their issues, better team here as well…. 1 Quote
JHRover Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago I enjoyed watching the Sheff Wed supporter protest today. All but a very small number of the 3000+ at Leicester refused to take their seats until 5 minutes of the game had gone, leaving an almost empty away end at kick off. Good to see the Leicester fans in support of the protest and applauding the Wednesday fans as they arrived during the game. Sadly it seems people only equate 'fit and proper' to whether an owner pays the bills on time and assume all is fine and well here. 1 Quote

Probably wouldn't happen but it would be nice if we could have a game on Sky where our fans didn't come in until the 15th minute to symbolise Venky's 15 years of ownership. Quote

For me Sheff U made a very strange choice of manager - at least Wilder has bags of experience won promotion previously and has been there done that and got the T shirt. In most seasons they'd have gone up automatically with their points tally. Not sure if the new man has ever achieved anything. Reading a BBC article it seems part of the reason for Wilder's departure was his refusal to go all in on the current obsession with data led recruitment and new AI technology for same whereas the new guy made a point of making a point of how it needed to be embraced. Worked well yesterday didn't it! Quote
