Even if we agree for the sake of argument to discount Oxford & Portsmouth, look at the rest of the post.  These are actual figures from the actual published (most recently available) accounts.  If you still think Rovers do not pay wages below the Championship average, then you are truly a lost cause

My point orignally was we didn't sign those 2 players cos we signed Taveras as our midfielder signing

Yet our wages still above our turnover in 23/24 financial year(118%), hence why they want and need into increase income coming in from commercial and sponsor revenue. You are correct that we are lower end of wages and we have wage structure but we need to be careful cos we can't offer our key players the sort of increase of wages to get them to re-sign here tho we can't be reckless and offer them more than we can afford otherwise other players will demand much more. leading to problems. Our key players around 6 or 7 should be on a certain around 16k to 25k, then your next 6 or 7 players should be around 10k to 15k with rest below that but with incentives bonuses in all contracts based on appearances, goals and clean sheets.

I do agree with that,

However those sort of figures would be around the Championship average, which we unfortunately no longer pay

The only alternative to what we are doing isnt to be "wreckless." There is a middle ground.

Similar to Suhail trying to defend our unwillingness to reinvest by saying that spending loads doesnt guarantee you anything. 

Its not a defence to give an extreme opposite scenario to justify quite how unwilling we are to offer competitive wages and/or justify quite how little we reinvest.

I couldnt say the exact amount that we would need to pay.

I just know that our inability to offer competitive contracts is decimating our squad of quality and sooner or later that leads to one thing and it isnt good.

I don't know why you're all humouring Chaddy by responding to his snide "you have all the answers" remarks when anyone who can read and doesn't live under a stone knows we pay well below the going rate for absolutely everything at our club, players, coaches and the rest. Even if you give him the facts and figures he will bury his head in the sand, the club can do no wrong in his eyes. He probably hasn't read the latest forum minutes yet.

If we were paying the sort of wages that Chaddy suggests there, then we would not have an inability to offer competitive contracts
