I think youve maybe not factored in that a % of the new signings will just prove unsuccessful.

In your head, I suspect all of the new signings will be successful once they bed in, the results so far are just a bedding in period and we will push on once they have settled.

Wrong here but until they been here for a few months/1 year, we dont know who will successful or not. To find the answer out will require time.

Are there any of the new signings made that you think will turn out to be poor? Just based on first impressions, for example Alebiosu I think we all think will be a good bit of business. Any you think the opposite of?

All down performances and results

You said its a good point. A point at home to Stoke leaving us still with less points than games played after a favourable opening run of fixtures and with Coventry away heading up some harder games to come, its not enough.

Yes a good pointb after 1 nil down and still that at 80 mins. I would taken a point at that stage. I did asked you the question yesterday whether you would taken a point at 80 mins but you ignored it..

Every game is tough at this level and very unpredictable.

We are due a win at Coventry anyway

Let's not pretend now.

I've read... "Gueye has more footballing ability in his big toe than Gudjohnson has in his entire body." "Losing patience with Gudjohnsen".

It's pathetic.

When I'm at Ewood I never ever slag off one of our own players and have been disgusted when our fans have got at Wilcox, Lowe, Andrews, Bennett etc.

But so far, from what I've seen, Gudjohnsen and Henriksson look awful players. On the other hand I think Tavares is a good player and once he finds his feet he'll be ok.

Yesterday's match saw what I thought were text book examples in the art of tackling. Twice Alebiosu made terrific challenges with the added pressure of potentially being sent off if they were mis timed. Similarly McLoughlin made another perfect challenge to prevent Stoke breaking away.

In all three the ball was won absolutely cleanly and gave us all a lift

Yes I would take a point after 80 but overall its an average result that does little to allieviate our position.

Obviously its down to results. I dont get why people (in general, not just you) get so aggy or unwilling to say that they dont think a player looks up to standard. Obviously that might change in time, its not an opinion you habe to stick to. People get really defensive and attribute it wrongly to not backing the players, there is a preciousness about it.

If you was talking to your mate, surely youd be able to bring yourself to say x looks like a good player or equally y looks poor. We have our first impressions of players, but some people act as if its a crime to say if a player looks poor.

The Alebiosu one in particular saved a probable goal. I dont think his positioning is always great but his pace is a really useful tool in making up for that.

Compared to last season, it does feel easy to pull us apart in the first place though which is a concern.

Regarding the spelling of Alebiosu...............

You have three consonants  l b s

The five vowels are in alphabetical order  a e i o u

Hence....Alebiosu.

Both of his tackles were from our corners when the centre halves were forward. Stoke got the first contact from the corner and countered. We weren't really pulled apart in a conventional  footballing sense.

Give me some examples of his positioning sometimes not being great. Having seen every game he has played I can't remember one occasion when he has been caught out through poor positioning.

Obviously I cant start rhyming off minutes in games where his positioning was off. And I dont think its a glaring weakness in his game and thats not what I am saying. Its more pointing out a positive that he has that recovery pace whereby his positioning doesnt have to always be perfect. Kyle Walker made a career out of it.

I definitely dont think as a team that we are defensively as strong as last season. Thats to be expected considering who we have lost and an inability to fully replace.

In quite a lot of the games three out of the back four are new. We have conceded some sloppy goals primarily down to individual errors.

that's why I said it was good point, yet you come out with rubbish like celebrating cos we got a point. We stop the losses and got something to build on which my point was.

people are probably reluctant cos people like yo0(over my view on Ismael last season) and others used it stick to beat other posters views when they change. Maybe think about your own actions first.

at west brom henrikson was miles of the pace of the game, don`t think val trusts him to start

i agree with you on gudjohnson,if you can`t control a football or be aware of your position then you have big problems at any level of the game

less said about sidnei the better,he`s shown nothing to me that suggests he could have an impact, did have a decent half against bradford but since then he`s looked out of place in the championship, last week he was abysmal and was embarrasing to watch
