Fans, including me recently, have voted with their feet. That we have so many going after 15 years is testimony to our attachment to the blue and white halves. I can barely watch this lot, knowing what we all know.  Not as bad as Coyle's time, but on nodding terms.

At least in Coyle's time you got the feeling if they changed the manager we would get safe (they did but it was too late) Pep wouldn't get a tune out of this grp of players I fear.

It will all go tits up because we'll sign a load of dross recommended by their "advisers", the son will get bored, and then we'll have a few seasons of gruelling austerity to make up for it.

He's probably already running it from his bunker somewhere via Suhail of course.

The stuff that's happened recently is straight out of Football Manager or the Moneyball film and if Daddy, Uncle, Grandad and most importantly Granny say it's his was of the highway the lemmings being paid will all jump.

Regardless of where the club ends up.

Exactly this, people who know me know I love the game but I grow more and more cynical.

I was a season ticket holder as a kid in the 2000s and looking back at family pictures I have some great memories following Rovers since I was tiny - FA Cup Semi Finals in 2005 and 2007, beating Burnley in 2009 at Ewood.

You go nowadays and it's a husk of what was.

If Coyle had been sacked a month earlier we would have likely survived.

If Ismael was sacked today a new manager will still come in and have almost nothing to work with. I don't think it can be understated how much damage was done this summer with such an insane and suicidal transfer "strategy".

I'm pretty certain if we are rooted in the bottom 3 at Christmas this time this lot will go down with barely a whimper.

At least in the Coyle season we still had a limited core of experience/nous/battlers - Graham, Conway, Evans, Bennett, Mulgrew - people who knew the level and I suspect could sort out the dressing room side of things.

If Coyle had been sacked on Boxing Day after he got dogs abuse at Barnsley post another horrendous performance, with Mowbray then brought straight in we’d have survived no question… only manager they’ve sacked in a decade and it was still too late.

Not debating that, correcting the person on the original comment who said that this is the worst squad we’ve had or some rubbish like that, it isn’t. Coyles squad was worse.

Disagree. That team had more championship nouse and football intelligence than this lot. Also more fight.
