Us, Sheff Utd and Southampton are bottom three for underperforming our 'xG'

Mid week saw Sheff Utd potentially start turning their fortune around - unfortunately we were the dummies on the other end.

Sheffield Wednesday put into administration. They’ll get 12 point deduction. At least they can get that owner out who’s been diabolical. We need to do the same but as if. Careless owners we have. They also been boycotting their recent games we should do the same honestly.

Well at least we won't finish bottom but the real issue for Rovers is there are no Doncasters or Rotherhams or Plymouths around now.

Clubs that came up are big and strong due to crowds and backing and 2 of them were always Championship sized.  Something that SHOULD have resonated in the corridors of power at Ewood before they decided to take an axe to everything.

It won't have though not for a nano second.

once they get new owners and rid themselves of chansiri,i can guarantee they`ll in the premier league before we are ,i said in 2012 i don`t think rovers will ever get back into the top division in my lifetime.it`s proving a correct prophesy

100%. And when we go down, we won’t come back up. It’s sad to see such a club, one of the founding members of the football league with such rich history, in its 150th anniversary, down in the dumps. A clip just came up on memories when pederson smashed one in with his left foot against man united to win us the game 2-1. Oh we need them glory days back…

I wouldn't be shocked if we do finish bottom. You only need to look at Derby under Rooney to see how a  point deduction can affect a teams mentality in a positive way. OK they still went down, but they still put a lot of points on the board. I don't see where we get any presently

Yeah fair point they could very well now start playing with more freedom and less pressure because its been taken out of their hands.

Fans will probably get back on board as well.

Somehow we ended up on the precipice of that a couple of times in the last 3 years then look whats happened.

Not backed then pulled to bits and that for younger or happy clapper viewers is why nobody has any hope left.

There's nothing natural or cyclical about it it's largely manufactured due to the people running the club and those owning it.

Anybody who doesn't at least acknowledge that regardless of where they stand in the grand scheme of things really needs to take a step back and look again.

Wednesday could easily take 6 points from the head to head matches - as they have previously - so the gap is halved and still about 100 points to play for in the other remaining matches. Finishing bottom is more likely than not. Finishing in the bottom three is a near certainty.

This time when we are in a scrap with relegation rivals with huge followings it would make sense to limit their allocation at Ewood.

That won't happen though in a month of Sundays, any gaffer or sporting director worth his salt would be saying to their bosses we need to do this.
