IMO, Mowbray is selfish and in it for what he can get and he is not the affable 'uncle' type character he likes to portray.

Failed to save us from relegation, got us back up on by far and away League 1's biggest budget and then trod water for 4 years, allegedly turning down an offer from City to take Liam Delap on loan in a Jan. window when we had a great chance of play-offs.

There is no reason for the Sigurdsson treatment. The club at least before these dickheads bought us wouldnt have conducted ourselves in such a way.

If we tell players that they likely wont be registered if they stay, and they choose to stay on their contracts as they are entitled to do. At least we have treated them properly.

A few journo's (Pete O'Rourke being one), are claiming that Wrexham are offering "up to" £19m for Sidiki Cherif of Angers.

I assume that £19m would be heavily based around promotion to the PL but it shows how far behind we are, even against clubs like Wrexham, in both ambition and finances.

Agreed the overall point I’m making is the 26 registered players shouldn’t be an issue it’s extremely clear who is cut out and who isn’t ready for championship football. However Rudy won’t see it that way

No doubting we are miles and miles behind but if that is true and happens it’s absolutely bonkers and could be boom or bust not to mention his age and profile and how big a gamble it is - like the player in question isn’t some sort of superstar

Worth mentioning they are battling Palace for this signature as they're selling Mateta. That's not "normal" champ ambition, it's Disney+ eyes revenue from Hollywood FC.

On the one hand, I'd like us to sell Pears, on the other hand any team that sends scouts to look at signing Pears and is in desperate need of a keeper will surely make a bid for Toth instead.

This is a real shocker though. Failed spectacularly to fill the gaps we have - A defender we didn't need who is rubbish. A winger/striker with no Championship experience, who in fairness looks decent so far. Assume that is our lot for this latest round of 'significant investment'.

If the previous widow  is anything to go by, they are more likely to offload one or more of Alebiosu, Toth, Tronstad or Cantwell in the final minutes of the window without a replacement & voila, plenty of room in tie squad

Pears is currently injured so a move seems unlikely.

Think there's a huge decision to make on Valerian.

If they're not getting rid, then they need to sell Ribeiro and Pickering.

If they are getting rid they'll need to sell a hell of a lot of shite:

• Sell McLaughlin
• Sell Tavares
• Terminate Cachin loan
• Sell De Neve
• Sell Kargbo

I'd give Kargbo a bit longer. I know I'll be in the absolute minority here, and he hasn't been great so far, but I feel he'll improve.

In recent years there's only been a few who have showed no care or effort:

Gueye and Kargbo.

Kargbo making a huge error and just jogging back and we concede. Terrible.

The likes of Mowbray and Eustace in the main, liked signing men. Players who would give their all and work their nuts off for each other.

We're now signing the likes of Kargbo (no way was he a JE choice - he'd fully checked out by then) and De Neve who can't even be arsed tracking back when they lose the ball.

We have signed a lot of crap from lesser leagues that you would think would be desperate to make a name for themselves.

Baradji falls into the same category. More ability than the others but no sign of desperation to give his all and really show what hes about.
