Hasta Posted Saturday at 19:13 Posted Saturday at 19:13 Again, are they not making money out of this by charging full price for the game, then half price (or whatever) for the rearranged game. Quote
Uddersfelt Blue Posted Saturday at 19:13 Posted Saturday at 19:13 Extremely disappointing (once again) to be coming away from Ewood piss wet through with no points despite being in a winning position. Once again, a lot of rain fell this afternoon and it’s obvious to everyone that the drainage system could not handle it. However, realistically, what could have been done to prevent this happening again. It’s not like there can be a complete overhaul of the pitch until the summer. The EFL have no other option but to order a replay as per Ipswich but may decide to give the club an ultimatum that could include sanctions if the problems with the pitch are not addressed by next season. 4 Quote

If the ground as a whole wasn't up to professional standards the League wouldnt allow us to compete. Well, the pitch isnt up to professional standards. No different from the rest of the ground imo. You are 100% correct. The league has every right to say we provide you with plenty of funds to run your club, there are physical ways of protecting your pitch (a tank drainage system) if you chose not to we will do our best to get you out of the league. Lancaster Rover Posted Saturday at 19:16 Posted Saturday at 19:16 I’ve not been able to get to a home game due to work commitments since the Ipswich game. So I’ve not seen a game completed at a Ewood in over 10 weeks! Shambles from top to bottom. 1 Quote

Well, the pitch isnt up to professional standards. No different from the rest of the ground imo. you are supposed to be able to complete your fixtures, unless it`s off an obvious weather event or issue beyond your control, failure to complete games usually means a league investigation and a sanction, other games in the area managed to finish their matches so it really is on us,could be a fine, warning or in the worst case a pitch closure and ordered to play elsewhere (can`t see that happening unless it continues at every home game) 1 Quote

TheKitGuy Posted Saturday at 19:29 Posted Saturday at 19:29 Can we play Oxford away on Tuesday? Quote
Lancaster Rover Posted Saturday at 19:30 Posted Saturday at 19:30 Pitch issues aside, how bad was the first 20 or so minutes. Aimlessly and ponderously passing it from side to side before giving it to Miller to gift the opposition possession. Quote

RoversTilliDie Posted Saturday at 19:56 Posted Saturday at 19:56 Prestons game went the all 90 minutes, so did Morcambe, and Accrington, which is a few mile from us. So every time we get heavy rain, its just Ewood Park we're its abandoned. We need a serious talk on the matter from upstairs at Ewood. 1 Quote
