It will be Sheffield Wednesday's decision to not sell them on the day, but its 100% Rovers decision to take them off sale 6 days before, and its all because the club is shut down until the 30th so there's nobody to oversee online sales. It's ridiculous. I'm asking who made the decision. How's that passing the buck. I'm asking who made the decision. That's all I asking. Read my post. People too quick to blame us. I think given staff a few days over Christmas is good move by the club given staff are working on New Year day and around that period..plus this week. The staff are hard working. I was in the club shop picking presents up for family. Quote

Point is, they could have put all the remaining tickets online, and with them being digital tickets people could decide to go over the Christmas period rather than being forced to make a decision 6 days before the game. Cherry Blue Posted yesterday at 11:10 Posted yesterday at 11:10 SWFC home tickets are still up for online sale. Football is big business and games round Christmas have a traditional call for some so if overview for online purchases on Rovers website is necessay (😕) over Christmas Day & Boxing Day, will they go back up on 27th & 28th? I doubt it. Quote

Mattyblue Posted yesterday at 11:59 Posted yesterday at 11:59 Why would a club run by administrators (I.e their whole remit is to rescue the business) instruct tickets in just one stand to be taken off sale nearly a week before the game. Of course it’s a Rovers decision. 3 2 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted yesterday at 12:15 Posted yesterday at 12:15 Wouldn't be surprised if it's down to paying for an extra allocation which they won't want to do. So they'll just suspend sales then put the last block up for sale later but of course if you were Sheff Weds you'd not be impressed. Being in admin though they might well be asking for money up front for blocks of tickets. 1 1 Quote

If only there was some kind of digital solution available that would enable supporters to buy tickets…someone with IT skills should look into this. 1 Quote

It's 100% a rovers decision because they can't be arsed with the hassle of it all, please stop jumping to there defence on everything that happens. 5 Quote
Hasta Posted yesterday at 14:38 Posted yesterday at 14:38 (edited) I don’t get why, if you buy and then receive a ticket digitally, it needs Rovers staff to still be working to process it. But clearly it does. Edited yesterday at 14:39 by Hasta Quote
Hasta Posted yesterday at 15:02 Posted yesterday at 15:02 Check of our local clubs playing away on 29th. Wigan away at Burton - on sale online now and in person in ticket office on Monday morning. I guess most Rovers fans planning to go to Sheffield will have bought tickets in good time but many will have been undecided. Another massive own goal for the club. 1 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted yesterday at 15:24 Posted yesterday at 15:24 Surely there is no reason to stop online ticket sales. If its sold out then they'd report it. Admin error? Quote

bluebruce Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago 4 minutes ago, chaddyrovers said: Well given no-one knows the truth. We dont know Basic logic, as posters have outlined, that it makes zero sense that Sheff W would shut off sales just to our section for that time period whilst still selling their own, tells us the truth. It's things like this that make people accuse you of shilling for the club. Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago There is nothing in the rules which allows the home team to dictate when away tickets must go off sale. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Last time i looked at the Sheff Weds tickets they had a handful left in the next to end block in the upper tier. I know the online sales often throw up red herrings when it comes to guessing how many sold but if that was correct they'll only have one block left to sell. I'm of the opinion they've suspended sales because they don't want to be made to pay for a full extra allocation of 500/1000 in the lower. Obviously Wednesday would want to sell as many as possible so why they'd insist that i don't know but football clubs are strange things often run by clueless people. And they need money. It's the only reason i can think of to stop sales, initial allocation almost sold. Edited 1 hour ago by Tomphil2 Quote
