Said it before the game but why do we keep playing 5 at the back at home? We continually concede soft goals and it’s so defensive we have no attacking threat.

so what's formation should we play?

Other side of the pitch to me but thought he set up the equaliser ?

On the ball he was ok and did well for the equaliser. That’s why I mentioned “out of possession”. It’s just his defensive abilities as a wing back that worry me. He seemed very static.

Has the club put out an attendance for today yet? Be interested to know what they're claiming. I was in the BBE so I could see everywhere else except this view. There's clearly no more than 2500 home fans in the BBE, possibly less. Not many friends coming for a tenner to see Rudy's exciting times project.

I'm guessing we were around the 7k mark again in actual numbers.

given what is currently available, yes

Currently available options at both wing back and on the wing are dire, but at least that is a fairly solid back 4 with players in their natural positions

Nyambe suffered from a similar thing, not saying you're doing the same, but if you call out the negatives but fail to point out the positives, you've automatically got yourself a poor player.

Miller suffers from being signed under the Gestede regime. To a lot of people, he's shite until he proves them wrong, and boy do they not want to be proved wrong.

I've read countless times on here, "I'll forgive them most things if they give it their all". That obviously doesn't apply to Miller, because there's nobody tries harder.

As I've said before, he's no Franco Baresi, but he leaves nothing out there, and I for one think he deserves a wee bit of slack.

I have to agree with here @Tyrone Shoelaces here

Is that on the basis of having never seen the wide players play?

Whilst not the required standard, they are better than the current options we have as wing backs, at the very least they may cause a surprise or 2.

and its a team without Henriksson, Gueye and De Neve anywhere near it, which should please a few

If you are desperate to keep the wing backs that have served us so well in the past 10 games

                                                 Toth

   Atcheson / O'Riordan          McLoughlin                Pratt

Miller       TGH / Montgomery                  Tronstad                   Powell

                             Baradji                              Cantwell

                                             Ohashi

He’s not shite. He’s a very average centre back from what I’ve seen, albeit fully committed. It’s the first time we’ve really seen him at RWB and in that first at half he was noticeably poor against Campbell.

My view on him and McLaughlin hasn’t changed. If they were brought in to fill the Dion Sanderson role from last year they are decent squad additions. If they are to replace Baath or Hyam they are downgrades.

Sorry can't agree.

He's up there (or down there) as one of the worst of the signings along with the likes of De Neve Henriksson and Tavares.

Then you have Forshaw which was a completely pointless signing, TGH who's bog standard at best and Moreshita who has so far flattered to deceive.

A disastrous summer of recruitment..

I think having 2 attacking players in Cantwell and Baradji behind Ohashi was a big improvement compare to the last 2 games.

Think Miller and Pickering did ok as wing backs. De Neve gives 110% whilst defensive not convincing. Think Miller did ok today but its a role he plays at International football.

Tho I can understand your point on the formation tho.

I thought Tyjon should have come on instead of Henriksson tho

Powell is the stand out (non centre back) player for the U21s at present, and is a genuine left winger/wing back,

It makes no sense that neither he nor Joseph are not a much bigger part of things than they currently are, given our injury situation

I understand that Powell has been the standout. I hope he gets his chance on Sunday at Hull

is Joseph fit? Its the only thing I can off why he hasn't been include the squad?

he did played the cross for Baradji's second goal,

Just watched the highlights, he actually won the ball back leading to our attack for the first goal as well.

we will presumably find out in midweek when the U21s play Coventry on Wednesday.  He played and scored twice in our previous game before Christmas

Edit - And can I just stress that Joseph is a 17 year old striker who is fast, strong, and 6 ft odd

Never in a million years was that a pen. Thought the referee had a poor game overall but the two teams on the pitch were pretty poor as well. Luckily we have a player in Baradji that can make things happen, great leap for the first and a good run into the box for the second.

A draw was the least we deserved. Now it's time for Gestede to bring the goods or face the sack.

That’s the only thing that will cure diving. Ban them from the next game. It’d be cured within a month.

If they deducted 1 point + any gained by cheating, the managers would stop it at the first training session

and that would cause players to actively protest against decisions wrongly given in their favour too (even if their was no intent to mislead the referee)

Two absolute desperate teams both IMHO living in hope there are two worse sides to keep em up

Game of two halves which TBH draw was fair enough
