Capt Kayos....

Just to give you some info........

The reason Celtic bundled the Blackburn and Caley games together was that they knew the Caley game would be empty! With a lot of the 54,000 fans struggling to pay instalments for season tickets, and a 'not to be missed' UEFA tie, this month to pay for.....it was obvious the Caley game would not be sold out....by a long long way! The incentive was to attract people to the Caley game (it worked with me, I went!.....although it was a reserve side and bloody freezing!).

There will be absolutely no public sale of home tickets. 54,000 season ticket holders get first option....then it goes to the 'world huddle' members (season ticket waiting list). My guess is that if there were enough seats....you wouldn't be far away from 100,000 !!!

Cheers

While its great that Celtic get such support, remember that they have basically half of Scotland and the whole of Ireland for a catchment area. Considering the size of Blackburn I say its as impressive if Rovers manage to sell out a game as Celtic get 100000.

So Celtic fans do pick their matches?

This is the point I was trying to make. It is common knowledge that Celtic would sell out for both games but because the Club bundled it with your Cup tickets, was there some 'meaning behind this'? ie was there an larger allocation on offer to the ROVERS or are we as fans just looking for something that

I believe the ROVERS re our allocation and I have no beef with Celtic over it as I believe you should accommodate the home fans first regardless, however I can say that as I have a ticket.

I have missed out on tickets for ROVERS games previously when I think I thought I was more entitled than some who got tickets eg Liverpool - however that is life - and no doubt there are probably people who deserve a Celtic away ticket more than me who haven't got one.

The thing with 'us' ROVERS fans which is difficult for the club also, is that we are a very strange bunch to understand so when things of this nature comes up there are always complaints re ticketing. Some games you would expect to sell out don't  and some where interest you think would be small do - weird!! its no wonder the club gets confused. Most of the time though once all the hoo hah has boiled down the club seem to have got it right.

Just one question what allocation to Rangers get and what do they give your lot for the game at Ibrox?

Hope you enjoyed yourself last night better result than last time!!

From one ST holder who didn’t get a ticket (I live near Leeds and didn’t get through on the phone), I hope all of you lucky people who have got tickets will cheer the blues on for the rest of us and have a great day out. I will be over in Blackburn watching in a pub somewhere fingers crossed, see you all for the home leg. :<img src=:'>

Interest in the Worthington Cup match against Walsall doesnt seem to have grabbed the same interest in ticket sales

With the tickets now being on open sale, I assumed that when I phoned yesterday that my seat in the Blackburn End would have been sold. No it was still available.

Normal seating for Celtic and Walsall now booked, but annoyed that I had to pay a £1 booking fee on each ticket.

Earlier today the Celtic ticket hotline had the following message:

To ENSURE this match is a sellout tickets are now on general sale.

I suspect this thread may warm up again if there are 2-3000 empty seats at Parkhead tomorrow night :<img src=:'>

Tickets for Ewood will NOT be going on open sale, sell out or not.  So any Celts in the home areas will be due to unscrupulous Rovers fans.

End of the day if Celtic fans r in home areas at ewood then its only because greedy, not real Blackburn fans have sold them on, just like the city game a few year back!

That day i was offered £260 for every ticket i could get city fans n they wanted 10!! I said no!

Proper supports dont get bought out, they want to watch there team and shouldnt sell on there tickets!!

I can gaurantee that over 6000 fans will come that day ticket less!!

NOW its up to Rovers fans to decide!!

I for one wont b selling mine now matter the price!

Marvellous, Rovers pass up a worthwhile allocation just so Celtic can put the tickets on open sale.

(And yes, the Club) have usually got it right in recent times)

On a more general theme the fact a "major" Club like Celtic has to put tickets on open sale just to try and ensure a sell out speaks volumes.

We're not selling out at Ewood yet it's easier for the occasional fan to get into Fort Knox than it is to get into a category A game.

We have to start taking a slightly more relaxed view towards ticket sales if we're going to fill Ewood. We can't keep going on about Man City for ever.

And, whilst I'm not entirely in favour of the idea, I can't understand how it can be acceptable for a club like Celtic to put tickets on open sale but not apparently Blackburn Rovers.

(Talking in general not for the second leg)
