  1. I made my prediction a while back, he'll walk at some point next season if the poor form continues and the crowd turns. That's where the smart money is but until then he'll carry on like he's gods gift to BRFC.
  2. That worries me, i actually think this Pasha guy is a Mowbray ally and well connected to certain agents himself. I always wonder just what is in it for him, is he more involved than we actually know. Maybe he recommended Mowbray and feels partly responsible or something but iv'e zero faith in any of them. Last seasons window was a good one lets be honest all the signings improved us on paper. Strongest squad TM has had plus Dack was back for a spell and the only real miss was Ayala. The fact is the manager couldn't turn HIS squad with his signings into anything remotely effective. Aside from the little purple patch before we were sussed out. Imo the possession football just meant we lost a load of games 0-1 instead of 0-2 or 3. It just papered over cracks instead of the picture he's trying to peddle that we are just a step away from turning 0-1's into 1-0's. Whoever he signs this summer he'll operate the same way he always has. Two thirds of it will be average to gash again because that's what this management set up is, regardless of squad. Only interested in players getting games and everyone being involved.
  3. This is what i was going to say, unless it is affecting them personally as a family beyond just being restricted i don't think it is in anyway a valid excuse. The wheels of all their businesses have to keep turning and will and the football club should be no different. It's offering them more excuses to just ignore it or just write cheque's for the latest set of under performers to run it. Money is still flying through the pipes and making others rich whilst the product suffers further. No excuse at all in fact being restricted should give them more time to concentrate on it and sort it out. The pandemic is affecting the suburbs of India horrendously but like everything else over there the wealthy will remain detached and probably better protected from it.
  4. Elliot is the real deal whizz kid who was worth good money at a young age because he clearly has some unique ability. Brereton just wasn't and isn't, he's just the type who showed maybe enough promise to make the step from youth ranks and carve out some kind of career. Loads around like that nothing unique about him. The only unique thing was a dozy rival manager backed by a set of clowns persuaded by some slimy agents happened to notice him. If we'd paid a couple of million it would have been a fair enough punt. The money they paid still was and is undeniably stupid.
  5. There'll be a 3rd wave here and it'll come in the 'flu' season which obviously is the main football season as well. It'll happen every year now this thing and its imported variants are here to stay. The vaccinations etc will help but flu season is flu season it's no coincidence that it's tailed off now as it did last year. Once the air is warmer. drier and clearer, once it isn't it'll be getting a grip again. It would be a foolish man to bet against a lockdown 3 of some sort by Autumn/Winter. That's before you factor in climate change policies / the Govt realizing the control this has presented them and all the conspiracies that go with it.
  6. So, his investment players start scoring when the season is virtually over. And his marquee defenders are coming defender that we've waited 2 years for turns up for 15 mins in the last game. Amazing stuff really the 'investors' must be so pleased.
  7. Yep every time we've won and he's been playing there's been a bigger report than usual in the redtop rags. Usually with a pic of him headlining it, good for the profile i suppose as it gets us a mention. Sickening really though when it's all about him and his media darling parent club.
  8. If that was available ALL season it wouldn't get more than 2 or 3 games together max, winning or not. Got to think of Corry's international career first and the midfield tombola policy close second.
  9. He'd still have to find a target man, a poacher and a couple of good centre halves. Everything is there to be built on though, just image half those additions to the squad. Coupled with organization, clarity and drive, everybody knowing their jobs ? Basically everything that is missing under Mowbray in favour of development and possession.
  10. 5 year extension incoming, he must've heard Mrs D is watching this one.
  11. Surfing season soon he doesn't want to be strapped up. Priorities.
  12. All hail dead rubber season when the manager and team look like they actually fancy having a go. If this game meant anything at all we'd be 1 nil down now, he'd be slumped in his seat. Fakers. As it is my 3-1 prediction is looking good !
  13. If you can get them onside it's one of the best jobs in the Championship. That's why even busted flushes hang on for dear life when they probably know the game is up and they could badly use a real break. Having that Academy and what it turns out available to bolster his squad gives him another advantage over similar clubs. I just keep coming back to thinkg what would the likes of Neil have done with kind of backing Mowbray has had. He managed to beat us and finish above us anyway.
  14. I particularly like the bit where Mowbray said 'iv'e had agents from players we've played against coming up to me saying so and so would like to come and work with you at Blackburn. Do you like him ? Then we see the wages and they aren't coming'. This is a very very crafty old dog at work here, basically saying i can attract players they want to work with ME but the club can't afford them. What a gigantic R sole that's along the lines of Bauer wanted 40k pwk, then he signed for PNE for about 10 !!! Anybody who still thinks this fella isn't capable of Kean/Coyle style spin in plain wrong. That's the kind of ego that gets giant flags printed of itself to send distracting messages to overseas owners via a tv screen.
  15. Aside from hiring a team of secret forensic accountants or a hitman i'm not sure how we can. Disclaimer - I'm not advocating shooting anyone, i'd sure like to hit a few though at times !
  16. Why can't we ever just do what other clubs do if we have to sell players ? Sell high then re-invest a portion in a good replacement. Not a punt, not several injury prone oaps using the money for wages. Just sign a good replacement who you hope you can do similar with. You could almost call it the Brentford model, the Blackburn model is very different. Geared for water treading at best.
  17. I often think he sings from a certain hymn sheet as well though were Rovers are concerned. Nothing against the fella but if he ended up here then it was via the usual route you can be sure of that. Then consider how SKY somehow ALWAYS seem to go against Rovers fans whenever we have a beef with a manager. Something that is quite unique really, not hard to fathom those with fingers in the Rovers pie have very good fingers in Sky as well. Not saying it's him for one min just flagging up the connections.
  18. If he's lining up deals in advance you can be sure they are from his black book. That again indicates jobs for the boys before he possibly gets moved on. Dangerous turf now with these 2 at the helm.
  19. Possibly, i'm thinking Madame is saying leave it alone Balaji go play with something else instead. Wouldn't be surprised to see some new director or consultant pop up before next season. Just to put a cat among the very comfortable pigeons again.
  20. Hudds 1 Rovers 3 Dead rubber season is well upon us and our midtable messiah might be hanging contract renewals in front of several senior bods, who have needed moving on for ages.
  21. Are we back to having different factions at the club and in Pune wanting different things ? I think we could be, this warned of years ago when TM & his mates got their feet firmly under the table. Very hard to shift and very expensive.
  22. No way is this squad a Pullis squad and he wouldn't suit the young player development line. However if it's top 6 you want and being hard to beat then him, a bit of backing and 2 or 3 windows would be logical. If they are only interested in rotating players for squad value might as well leave Mowbray in situ. Put STs up to £500 each and let him and the 4k who turn up and sit in mid/lower mid confusion forever.
  23. That's how i see it, might as well be him as a Mark Robins or similar, i feel the same about Neil. It's a case of why not, what's to lose after what we've seen the last few seasons. If it ends up the same fair enough but some might say ( even TM himself) why change ? That's not the point though as the better the devil you know scenario doesn't wash in his case anymore. I think he needs a break from it as well and such a mad world is football he will get another gig after he's recharged his batteries. It'll never ever be as cushy as this one, that's the problem. He'll need prizing away from it or booting.
  24. It should be a relatively safe and doable kind of appointment imo. Not one to create hysteria but it shouldn't create dismay either like Coyle. Mowbrays appointment was just meh in most fans eyes, Lambert was quite well received so i'd expect it to be similar to that. Also by safe i mean it shouldn't cost a fortune and he might be keen so if it did go tits up, it shouldn't cost a fortune to knock it on the head either. However he'd need backing like Mowbray has had and he'd need time otherwise it's pointless.
  25. When we look at what he'd have here compared to Wycombe or even Preston then you look at us the last 2 seasons. Bang average and poor, could he do any worse ? Even if it ended up similar at least it would be a different voice and approach to things. And at least with him you know he'd leave it all on the job i'm tired of the club looking like it just exists to serve Mowbrays purpose. Even tireder of the plonkers out there who go along with this and still hang on to his every word. It needs a reboot and it needs either a good name or someone with some fire in his belly to do it.
