Regarding Sterling and shirt removal, everyone except Rigger seems to be missing the point. He intended to remove his shirt during the game before going onto the pitch. He knew full well he would receive a yellow for it. That automatically lets his team mates down. I don't care how many others do it or have done it. It doesn't justify the intent and the action. Just supposing something happened 5 minutes after he had scored whereby he received a second yellow. Southgate needs to address this with all of his squad.

Regarding the ITV coverage, some young upwardly mobile idiot has changed the format of the league tables. There was me staring at the extreme right hand column trying to figure out the points. I was looking at goals against. I finally found the points column on the extreme left before the games played. Whoever had this idea needs sacking.

It doesn't matter what the message was. He knows full well that if he takes his shirt off after scoring a goal he will receive a yellow card. He has let his team mates down badly tonight. He deliberately went onto the pitch to get booked. If he wants to give such a lovely heartfelt message he should do it on Twitter, Facebook or even You Tube.

What a silly absolute dickhead is Raheem Stirling. He is a black player in a hostile stadium where fans have been warned about racism and he removes his shirt to display some message AND GETS A YELLOW CARD FOR IT. What is Southgate doing? If I were manager I would tell all the squad no removal of shirts under any circumstances. I would get every player to raise his shirt before going on to the pitch to prove to me no message T shirt underneath. Stirling.........total knob. OK. I spelled his name wrong.

Jimmy Floyd will get more out of him than Mad Mowbray ever would. Just watch him flourish.

I salute you, ben_the_beast, for knowing how it is pronounced and being able to spell it. I wouldn't mind Jamal Lowe coming here. Pity we couldn't get Kipre too. Whatever is Cooke doing at Ipswich signing Christian Walton? -

I think we might win this 1-0. I am on the right thread, aren't I. -
Ayala said so according to a report. Best team spirit he has experienced in his playing career.

I cannot remember on which thread I posted my complaints about the Riverside facilities. However, this season there is very little change. I complained about the toilets having useless hot air hand driers. These are still there. I mentioned cold water to the wash-hand basins which I wasn't bothered about. Lo and behold.............today I washed my hands in warm water. Rovers have actually installed water heaters on the walls of the toilet facilities. I guess that's a step in the right direction. Thank you Rovers for that. -
West Brom played Sam Allardyce football to its perfection. That style of football in this league and the way they played it will guarantee promotion. I look forward to watching WBA v Fulham. I can't understand why so many criticise our players. I thought the whole team played well except maybe for Dolan who should have forfeited his place to Butterworth as someone has already mentioned. We all know our weaknesses at our club. I'm just pleased that the players have the comradeship to compete and enjoy their football. I know it's Venkys and Mowbray but, somehow, I feel that something has changed.

Subdued for most of the match.

Bristol City lost at home to Swansea tonight. BBC reporting that they have played 12 home games without a win; the longest run in their history. And to think I was advocating Pearson to replace Mowbray not too long ago. Surely he will turn them around. Surely.

Can he jump high, though.

Cornelius? Is that his real name? We had an Irish teacher at school called Cornelius. Everyone called him Corny for short and not Corry.

Absolutely, Gav. Just remember the Spurs fans who were "gutted" after we beat them in Cardiff. They had won a tougher game (on paper) in the semi-final 5-1(?). They expected to thrash us in the final, especially with us having so many good players unavailable through injury or suspension. No Short. No Tugay. We had to play Tiny Taylor at full back and Mark Hughes in midfield. Now the 1960 cup run saw us scrape through the 4th round against Blackpool by the skin of our teeth. Then we proceeded to beat 3 of the best 4 teams in the league, Spurs, Burnley and Sheff Wed to get to the final. Wolves were the other of the 4 best teams. They would have won the cup and league double had it not been for Burnley becoming champions. I was so proud of Rovers that year. The debacle of the final hurt that much more. And, before anyone asks, me and my dad watched it at home on television. -

Brentford - everything we should be

Great for Brentford. I'm so happy for them. I still think they'll get relegated but let them enjoy their euphoria. We'll never be like them as long as the Venkys own us. -

Absolutely, Den. It's the ownership that worries me most. They still haven't got a clue what they are doing. I've seen us with various boards of directors that seemed to do their best for the club. I've seen them stick with Jackie Bestall as manager when we were bottom of Div 2 at Christmas, spend a lot of money bringing in experienced players that he wanted like Quigley, Elvy, Langton, Briggs, and Kelly to make us into a super footballing team. Boards that have appointed Carey, Smith, Saxton, Kendall and Mackay as well as mistakes like Iley and Ince. These boards and owners ( Uncle Jack and the Walker Trust) always did their best for the club and had knowledge of football or appointed people who had that knowledge. The club was run properly. Now, sadly, it isn't and it hasn't been since Venkys forced John Williams out. Yes, Den, my heart is broken. It's like a living hell really. There must be an end to it sometime but it may not be in my lifetime which is rather sad. -

I'm not surprised he has turned us down. Any decent footballer in his right mind wouldn't touch this basket case of a club. Mowbray and his entourage out.
