Looking forward. Anyone positive about next season? For me -and it’s obvious to everyone I’m sure - number one priority is we need to splash money on two proven goal scorers. One isn’t enough. Now Brereton has gone we don’t have one goal scorer at the club. That’s amazing really. Loaning strikers isn’t enough. Quality strikers cost money and it’s simply a must for me. There will be gaps to fill in every other department as well, so 1) two quality front men 2) general strengthening elsewhere 3) sort out the manager position immediately Every summer is a big summer. This summer is the biggest for a while. Get the incoming transfers right and we could do as well as this season or better. Get it wrong and we could really struggle to even stay in this league.

Im sure we’ll get offers for him this summer. Watch this thread.

Last minute defeat at Sunderland, last minute draw at home to Cov, away to North End, draw with Hudds, even getting beat by Dingles- all games dominated. -

Just one more point from any of the games in last 4 weeks, or just one less unfortunate turn of fate and we’d have been in the playoffs. -

To George Hirst.

While we’re talking about ex strikers, how about Yakubu? I was totally underwhelmed when I heard we’d signed him, but what a class act he turned out to be. Imagine how this season would have gone if we’d have had him on the end of a few crosses. There aren’t many videos of him, so sorry about the quality of this short clip.

Brittain?

Nothings changed. Dack might get his chance.
-
Who has said they expected him to boss the midfield twice a week, every week? I doubt anyone said he could - or said he would.
-
His performances recently suggest to me that he was ready, more than ready a while back.

Completely different kind of player. Dunny was an all action, make things happen midfielder. Wharton is different. He’s just the classiest player I can remember coming through for many, many years. I can’t think who to compare him to. Matty pinched my description of Adam. He’s a rolls Royce of a player.

don’t always get what you deserve in football. Last week Coventry equalised with a handball, this week we were denied an equaliser for handball. -

How good would a 95th minute winner for us be? Barnes slicing into his own goal would do. Wouldn’t do the nerves much good though. -
and if he’s offered triple the money he’s on here at a top club he’d want to move wouldn’t he? I would.

100%

That wouldn’t come into it from Whartons viewpoint Philipl.

I just wonder why Lineker decided to leave Leicester. A true Leicester fan if ever I saw one.
-
That’s okay for us isn’t it?
-
Yeah, I’m aware of his contract.
-
Clubs will be in for him this summer, I’m pretty sure of that. Ultimately whether he moves or not will really be his decision. The only input rovers would have is the fee.
