  1. I wonder if JRC could play centre foward? 🙂 His strengths are going forward, not defending, that’s for sure.
  2. 92nd minute and so avoidable. Reading player plenty of time to clear, under no pressure, slices it for a corner. PNE score from it. 🤬
  3. If the coaches and manager thought Leonard was good enough, he would be much closer to the first team than he currently is. Certainly being a striker he would. He’s 20 is he? Scoring goals at lower level means very little. We must have had hundreds of them in my time. I see he’s 19.
  4. I would leave Brereton out and start with Dolan again. Our best form was when Dolan and Smods were running at defenders. I really believed we were going to surge into the play offs a month or so back. I thought we were looking the real deal - the best team we’d had since relegation from the Prem. How many times in my lifetime have we done exactly this - promised such a lot then fallen away really badly? Desperately need to avoid defeat at the very least in this game, but just as importantly we need to show we’re still good enough. Wish I could say I think we will.
  5. When the tip of your arrow is made of Jelly, you’re always going to struggle.
  6. It’s also free and live on lancstv as are most games.

  8. Sorry, It just amused me.
  9. Yes, I mentioned that I went on the Darwen end. That’s where the home fans stood. Pre 1960 the BBE wasn’t covered and I’m sure that’s why they gathered there.
  10. What a classy player Mike Newell was. Him and David Speedie!
  11. My dad was a joiner and made me my rattle. Painted it blue and white as well. Could hardly lift the thing, never mind swing it around. It was huge.
  12. I just mean currently in the starting 11. Dack would not be quick enough for the way we’re currently playing.
  13. I don’t see any place for Dack in this side, playing this way Mercer.
  14. It really should speak volumes to the FA when fans of a club 2nd in the old second division are not looking forward to an F.A. cup semi final because they “know” they’ll get thrashed. Do the F.A. care? Do they hell.
  15. Just had the courage to post. I was so disappointed. Every single one of them, the players and manager deserve praise tonight. I thought they were all superb. Rovers were the better team pretty much throughout IMO. Ive given rovers a fair bit of criticism this season and rightly so. Today was the best performance for a long time. Can’t remember being has impressed as I was today. Im not going to criticise JDT either. He’s the one that got us here. As for his subs giving the initiative to Sheff Utd, well it did, but if we were to be honest you could really point to a squad stretched to the limits.
  16. Many times we see the ball hit hard at an arm in an unnatural position but not given as a penalty because he had no chance of getting out of the way. Rightly so IMO. Anyway. I thought Rovers were really, really good today. Sheff U will know that too.
  17. The law still states it has to be deliberate handball. That’s never changed. There have been guidelines issued which you quote to help refs interpret whether it is intentional or not. It still has to be deliberate though.
