  1. This might have been mentioned - but does anyone else remember Sheff Utd having two men sent off against us at Bramhall Lane a good number of years ago? I’m sure we won that day.
  2. Burnley are a very good side, running away with the Championship title. This just shows how for the majority of “real” football fans the game is if not corrupt, then very close to it. These top PL sides are light years above the rest for just one reason- foreign mega rich owners who throw absolutely, seemingly endless fortunes at the clubs. Nothing here that nobody else doesn’t know, but it just stinks.
  3. Darwen end, but after the toss, if rovers were kicking towards the Blackburn end made a rush to the Blackburn end. Moved to the riverside shortly after, standing in the same spot next to the Stantion every game - just over the halfway line towards the Blackburn end. Finished up in the Jack Walker upper after it was redeveloped.
  4. I haven’t seen that either Gav. Fantastic pictures. 95 years ago.
  5. We were back to where we were before this run. Too much slow play in and around our own area, coupled with defending you see on the park every weekend .They can put that right though. All is not lost. Good wake up call tonight.
  6. We’re just second best everywhere. They’re winning every 50/50
  7. I’m very nervous with this one. After the recent displays we get to thinking we’ll win every game. We won’t obviously, but this season just feels different. Is this particular bubble going to burst? God I hope not.
  8. Yes, that’s how it was originally worded. Since then commentators close to Lineker have said that’s not true. They say he’s been suspended for refusing to apologise. Ian Wright won’t appear in MOTD tomorrow in support of Lineker. Apparently it’s only one episode of Attenborough’s series that’s been excluded so it doesn’t upset right wingers.
  9. He hasn’t stepped back, he’s been suspended. The BBC have also cancelled David Attenborough’s new wildlife series because it might upset right wing Tories.
  10. Absolute class wasn’t he. Couldn’t find a video of him in rovers colours.
  11. I’m with you on Pears. He’s made a big difference with his use of the ball and his clean handling. Good keepers inspire the defenders in front of them. If the back four just aren’t sure of the man behind them it affects their performance and because of that, the rest of the team. He’s another one who’s made a difference. I’ve never rated Kaminsky TBH. He scares me whenever he’s got the ball at his feet and the number of times he fumbles shots is too often. Having said that, I also had no faith in Pears whatsoever having seen him previously. He’s had it relatively easy so far as well, taking into account our good form, but he’s done really well. Let’s see how he goes and how he copes if things get harder. Let’s see how he is with balls across the 6 yard box. I just hope he keeps his place when Kaminsky's fit again.
  12. Sheffield U are a good side. Let’s not kid ourselves that they aren’t. What teams must do against them first and foremost is match them physically. Rovers did that and more. Superb stuff. I was a doubter for sure. I was absolutely certain we were dropping into no mans land again. What can you do other than hold your hand up. The football we’ve seen over the last couple of games has been far better than anything Mowbrays side achieved in 5 years. In fact it’s better than anything we’ve seen since we were relegated IMO. All of a sudden we have key men all over the park. Shouts out to JRC and Smodic. From impressing virtually nobody to looking like leaders all of s sudden. Dolan has lifted his game to way above what it was while Carter has been brilliant as well. As for JDT he’s answering the critics (me included) in the best and only way- with performances on the park. Its a long time since I was as impressed.
  13. Bangladesh bowler bowling from the “Mr White detergent powder” end 😂 Brilliant.
  14. So we submitted two deals - both late. One of them was as simple as could be, I imagine. Seems to me that we just weren’t capable of completing either deal as required by EFL regulations - with or without contributory factors. I would have thought the club might have realised that before they entered into a potentially expensive legal appeal that they didn’t believe they could win anyway. So poor.
  15. I haven’t read all the posts on here. The LOB appeal was based on rovers running out of time because of “complications” over required clauses? What were rovers reasons for submitting the straight forward deal for the Rochdale lad late?
  16. and we’ll have to win 3 more away games if we want to win it.
  17. We’re better away from home. Hitting teams on the break suits us. It did yesterday anyway.
  18. A video made by a young Leicester fan. Shame you can’t hear too much of what he’s saying but there’s there’s a lot of good pitch side coverage of the game and the fans. Well worth watching.
  19. I’ve always thought the Ewood pitch is on the small side, a bit narrow. That doesn’t make for flowing football.
  20. I think a small part of that is JRC’s form. He’s inspirational at the moment. Shout out to Smodics last night, he was everywhere. Leicester couldn’t match his energy.
  21. Takes me back to the days when the Telegraph rated the players out of ten. On very, very rare occasions Thornton or Peter White would rate them all 10/10. Tonight felt like it might be another. This game will stay in the memory for a long time One word of warning. My experience tells me don’t expect performances like tonight’s too regularly. It’s just not possible.
