That side has enough experience to win this game. Its Fulham we’re playing not Man City. Anything less than a win shouldn’t be good enough for any ambitious manager.

I’ve said it before, but I don’t think there’s a weakness in this England team. we should make the most of watching these lads. Once this side breaks up it could be a long time before we see their likes again.

For us to know the facts about his transfer dealings we would have to know a heck of a lot more than you or I do Gav. We would have to know every signing on fee, every agents fee, every contract detail of every player brought into the club, or released from the club for the last 5 years. I doubt very much that it’s a positive figure seeing that Venkys have had to put in around £100m in that time.

So you’re happy with the last 5 years Gav? Fans walking away, terrible winless runs, lower league finishes and conceding goals like never before?

There is a difference Rev. 1) Venkys have removed the STC completely from their BRFC company and placed it in a separate company. 2) we have no idea if they would include the STC in the sale of the football club. Until and unless we know that to be true, the doubts and mistrust will continue. 3) what the club were to tell the trust or FF would be totally worthless anyway in the event of a sale. Isnt that the crux of the problem?

Means nothing. Venkys own the club, they can do whatever they want with that money. We would likely never know. Like @arbitro, I don’t trust them. With good reason.

I think moving a piece of prime building land owned by BRFC away from the club and onto a separate business shortly after trying to sell it off for cash reeks of something very distasteful. I readily accept that I know nothing about business and accounting practices Rev, so there’s no point in asking me about those things.

I don’t know. I don’t even know whether that money has actually transferred into the clubs account. Again I’m thinking out loud because I don’t believe this has anything to do with FFP.

Why would it? If/when Venkys leave, they could possibly want to recoup every penny they could. That piece of land is prime land with planning permission and would bring a lot of money.

Not having that. Its just a coincidence that it’s the same STC they tried to sell off for housing around the same time? What follows - sell themselves the other half next season, the ground the season after? Sorry, not for me.

Thinking out loud again.., This happened 4 months ago. Could it be that it was Venkys intention to transfer the STC into their own hands, sell it off and pay themselves the money from the sale without reinvesting very much at all in a new training facility? We know they were looking at cheaper sites nearer to Ewood? I know it says they paid £16m for the land but that might have been paper money to satisfy the sale legally. Could the reason that nothing has been said about this be because it’s in abeyance? All conjecture - but the fact that it’s only the STC and not the whole of Brockhall is a clue here.

If Venkys bought the STC from Blackburn rovers, does that not mean they are two separate companies @RevidgeBlue?

Selling only the STC and not the whole of Brockhall to the owners in order to get round FFP doesn’t make much sense to me.

It’s very entertaining watching all of us on here who don’t have a clue what we’re talking about, turning into a whole forum of superleuths. Anyone out there actually “know” why this transfer of ownership might be happening? 😀

I guess in the event that the owners sell the club, the STC wouldn’t be included.

Why would Venkys just buy the Senior training centre and not Brockhall in its entirety? The STC was the part they wanted to sell.

Just to add, I hope I didn’t offend anyone with that last post. I can’t stand racism and sometimes being blunt helps clarify exactly what goes on with some people.

Yeah I know. Relative of mine emigrated there 40 years ago. They came home again after about 20 years - his wife didn’t like it out there. when I asked him about the racism his view was that the blacks weren’t capable of being educated above where they were. I doubt he was like that before he went out. It must be contagious out there.
