I agree - total incompetence. They make the same mistakes over and over again. We've been here before where we need to sell and can't replace. What's the point in having mega rich owners who will spend money but can't be bothered to have any real interest in the correct running of the club.

I see Danny Ings has turned down a new contract at Southampton. 12 months left on his current one so they may be looking to move him on. Armstrong a possible replacement ? They have been rumoured to be interested for a while.

Which makes you wonder why they didn't file the accounts as soon as possible to get out of the 'soft embargo' as other clubs did. Maybe they know what's coming after filing them ?

I agree to some extent but if we don't accept current offers he will go for nothing at the end of the season. We are not in a strong position really.

The way I understand it is that the EFL have probably had the accounts and projections for a while but won't make a FFP judgement until the final, signed off accounts are received. Rovers will have sent their final signed accounts and projections to EFL at the same time that they filed them at Companies House. They can now make a judgement on our FFP situation based on the data provided. The fact that the Companies House process is a lagging a little makes no difference and will not affect the decision of the EFL.

The Companies House delay is a red herring. The only thing that matters is EFL approval of the accounts and projections.

You are probably right - I don't think a total boycott would be possible at any club, although Blackpool got pretty close. Having said that, we have to try. We need to take some action whether it is protest and/or boycott. Simply accepting the situation and doing nothing because 'it'll never work' is not an option. Venky's will leave at some point, we need to speed the process up by any means necessary.

Whether it would be a springboard for a rejuvinated club or the point of no return, administration will probably happen when Venky's tire of paying millions of pounds on something they have no interest in. May as well get it over with sooner rather than later. When it happens I'll be first in the queue for a season ticket - but not before.

With respect to getting rid of the owners, this is the answer. The only action that will gain any significant coverage or reaction. A half full stadium will be explained away as people being cautious after Covid. Nothing changes. We need to go on strike. Make a point with our absence. Operation Empty Ewood.

That's true enough. I guess the problem is summed up in the phrase "keeping our heads above water". If we needed loans to help in the final push for promotion then there is a more obvious benefit.

The trouble with loan deals is that they rarely benefit us in the long run and we have to rebuild every season. I remember when Harvey Elliott made that cockup against Reading that lead to their goal, one commentator said - "that's why players of his age go out on loan - to learn from their mistakes". We live with the mistakes and the parent club benefits from the experience gained. Obviously, Elliot made also made a great contribution for us last season but in general the point stands - no long term gain for the club. I would much rather play one of our youngsters even if they are not as good.

I don't think there will be anything in the Leeds link but I can imagine the agents queueing up already. Breretonmania, interest from big clubs, international footballer, advertising potential in Chile and the most important part - a free agent at the end of the season. Can't see any agents advising him to sign a new contract with Rovers.

Is anyone waiting until after June 30th before committing to a season ticket? Presumably we will know soon after that date if we are going to be in a transfer embargo. To quote the LET "For Rovers, their ability to be embargo free could well depend on the prospective sale of Adam Armstrong" Doesn't look like Armstrong will be sold before the deadline so where does that leave us? No doubt the club will be issuing a statement soon ( Ha Ha!) Will a transfer embargo be the tipping point for some people and reduce ST sales further ?

The whole episode is disturbing. Firtstly, the withdrawal, at the last minute, of an agreed contract is appalling - what would Jack think ? It sounds like the manager offered the initial contract only to be overruled - the club is disfunctional. Eventually Mowbray got his way - but to what purpose? As a favour to a player he had no intention of playing. What good is that to the club ? From the interview it appears Mowbray thought performances were good during the run of 2 wins in 17. Are the owners even aware of any of this ? Short term future looking bleak I'm afraid.

That is very very true. Most match days I am tempted right up until the last minute. I even agree to go shopping with my wife to avoid a possible change of heart. So far I haven't weakened but with a few pints within walking distance of Ewood...? Thanks for the advice

On principle I don't want to support the regime by putting money into their coffers. If I did attend a home match and shared my opinion by shouting 'Venky's out' throughout the game, I suspect it wouldn't go down too well. I don't want to spoil other people's enjoyment. I will just continue to encourage everybody to boycott, for the good of the club, and look forward to the day I can return to Ewood with a clear conscience.

Not sure why its your duty as a Rovers supporter to buy a season ticket. I would say its our duty, as supporters, to do the best thing for the future of our club. In many people's opinion, the club would have a brighter future with different owners. As such, the best thing to do, as a supporter, is oppose the current regime. I believe it is my duty show my dissent by not buying a season ticket or any home match tickets. I am desperate to get back to Ewood to support the team on the pitch but I believe it is currently the wrong course of action for the future of the club. Carry on turning up as normal and Venky's / Waggott will carry on running the club into the ground. I like your idea of a BRFCS social at the pub/WMC though it would be good to meet everyone. I'd happily attend but would then trudge sadly home while the rest of you go off to the match.

As a supporter I chose not to support the current regime at the club - in fact, I actively oppose it. I am a supporter and believe the best way to support the club is to try everything possible to persuade the current owners to leave. One of the few weapons I have is to not attend home matches. I wouldn't consider this bleating ( or bleeting! - this would get you zero points in scrabble )
