That *was* the January Window

Only Bristol City have failed to score at least 2 against us since the end of November iirc, the current style of football is suicidal. -

Just look at the goals yesterday. The first was a set piece and there must have been 6 or 7 players against their 1 by the time they got the ball down and the all just crabbed sideways and let him shoot, some of the worst defending I have ever seen. The second I think the keeper should have done better with personally, but the defence still exposed him similarly. There is something seriously wrong with our defensive setup and I'm not sure any signings in any position will change a thing if we refuse to adapt anything. -

All the Cov fans said he struggled physically. If that's right and we ship out Travis and Garrett to accommodate him there you can forget about solving our defensive issues. For me Garrett and Leonard should be staying unless we get in at least two specialists in their respective positions. Both have shown more than others in the squad in their respective positions and if all we're going to do is get youth players on loan anyway we may as well try and develop what we have. Not to mention we've been stretched all season as it is. -

Zero braincells in the game management side again. We better pray it's not bad otherwise we're in deep trouble. We've won but it's really highlighted all our major problems: An overreliance on Sammie, no game/squad management and a frail defence. Luckily Cambridge are a poor L1 outfit - our upcoming league opponents will be looking forward to facing us. -

Yeah this football style can do one. I couldn't care less about pretty passing if we have no defence whatsoever. -

Sammie is literally the only thing stopping us being a league one side next year. -

I get why we're doing it but anything other than a convincing win and it could backfire on the morale front. Should be winning this easily. -

This has been our major problem this season - you just have to look at the crazy amount of goals we concede in the last 15mins of games. Trav has shortcomings but he'd have been fine to use in these situations. As it is we now have even less bite in an already powderpuff team and if JDT is going to obsess with this physically tiring style of football we have to sign some actual experienced adults with some nous. We won't of course but one can dream. -

So as expected, will help us nought and will just be another inexperienced youth put into an already failing system. Awesome. -

Fallen out or not, if we want him out we should be demanding a sale, not a loan. Isn't that the whole point of the current model? A loan has zero benefit to Rovers at all. Joke owners, joke management, joke club. -
Wednesday fans seem to be happy enough with him with a few saying he helped kickstart their season against Leicester. We definitely have worse players and it was always a bit weird to me that we loaned him out, I seem to recall JDT being a little perplexed at the time too. Hopefully he recovers and can kick on with us.

For me it's a lack of versatility. I appreciate he hasn't got options, but in that case why are we playing a style of football that entirely relies on keeping energy levels extremely high? It means that every game we're relying on kids and freebies to keep our leads and there's no coincidence that we concede a significant number after subs have been made. He has to adapt, the current style of football is pretty but ineffective and we are sliding backwards with every passing game. -

We'll run out of steam after the hour, sub the kids on and get battered. -

I get they're academt keepers but are Hilton and Eastham really that much worse than Leo? -

Almost as if having a good keeper/defence is more important than a good set of forwards, but Venky's care not. -

Another game we'll probably lose because of the bench. Even at full strength it's not all that. That said, hopefully Semir can get about a bit and get off the mark. COYB -

Shite league but we have already lost 14 games. Sign of a team that doesn't belong in this league for sure. -

This is Coyle all over again, a complete inability to defend. No question about it we're dropping like a stone just as some of the struggling teams pick up form. I love JDT but questions need to be asked at this point. -

I have seen very few derby games at any level with one side performing as bad as that day. -

Even away from that, his win rate may be decent for us but his loss rate is appalling - his brand of football has no idea how to grings out results and as soon as a couple of games in a row come up we collapse. -

The club is rotten to the core, Mowbray and JDT masked some of it but it is still deep set. Until Venky's are gone nothing will change. Unfortunately, the fan base is beyond numb to it and will continue to dwindle as the club dies. Venkys out -

I'm sorry but that's nonsense, Pears is just as much a liability. We're heading exactly where we belong with our owners cost cutting plan and if we do drop in the next couple of seasons there will be no way back this time. -

We just don't have the squad to keep this style of football going when energy levels drop and I think we're going to see another drop off going into the new year. Problem is, we're much closer to peril than last year and I can see us getting dragged into a relegation battle. Love JDT and he's limited in what he has, but he needs to start adapting.
