v Leicester City (a) - 28/02/23 (FA Cup 5th Round)

With a trip to wembley at stake, I am hoping for a home tie and would be wanting to avoid, both of the Manchester clubs. I would really fancy us against anyone else, especially if we play like we did last night. -

It’s nights like this that make me so proud to be a supporter of the best club in the world. From away trips to Scunthorpe to this tonight. My heart is pumping so much, I won’t sleep. Truly superb performance and result. We are the ROVERS -
It tends to be midweek games that are available in the UK. Most games are available overseas, but when the game is chosen for foreign TV it does then exclude certain countries. This weekend for example, you could get the QPR game in Spain and Germany, but not in France. I paid £140 for the year, as I spend most of my time in Spain and do find that decent value for money, as it covers home and away games. From what I can gather, there is a £10 per game option too, hence me suggesting £140 for all available games is good value.

If they are already up and are champions (it is inevitable) it might not be as bad. We do need to turn them over though and let's face it, we could well secure a play off place, if it is very close to the end of the season, due to it being re-arranged. -

I am not relaxed about it all. I hope like hell they do not clinch either the title or promotion at our place. I have already had the game enter my dreams, even though it is potentially 3 weeks away and probably longer if it gets postponed due to cup commitments. I want us to rip them a new one and hope both Wharton brothers play and score. -

Sad stuff that with David Hopkinson. I didn't know him, but from reading your post, he sounds like a great bloke. I have had the honour of knowing one of the players, who played for the Clarets, the last time they won a major trophy, namely the old division one title. I know Brian Pilkington was very proud of that achievement I have shared at least 20 conversations, with people who called into his office to share the memories and ask for memorabilia to be signed. A great man Brian and I hope he is resting in peace too. -

Good coverage for us live on TV. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves. It would be nice to got into the quarterfinals and given it’s decided on the night, no replay to worry about. -
Good job his Mums maiden name, wasn't Abbott.

Juts in case no one else does, I will mention it.

Blessed are the cheese makers.

I guess the fact that his contract will end soon and his CV is likely to show, he couldn’t get in the side of a relegated team speaks volumes. He will be a free agent and may have one hell of a struggle getting a decent contract. Is I was his agent, I would be worried.

I said after the Blackpool game, Buckley is one of them players who has such a good football brain, that he gains that split second that makes the difference. His eye for a killer pass is his biggest asset though. He put a great defensive tackle in midway through the second half today, to ease the pressure. Add that to his game on a consistent basis and I think we have a cracker.
-
It’s £10 per game and £140 for the season. Even missing a few, it’s still decent value. I think I have only missed one, but do have to pop over the boarder now and then.
-
What are you doing in Hungary. Get yourself to Spain for the next one, it’s a far easier language to learn.
-
Best game for Buckley for a while. I have always seen this in him. He can be frustrating, but he is finally getting a run together.
-
I have to say, I have been pleased with it.
-
No. Spain or Germany if you are near the border, but you had better be Very Pretty Nifty
-
Did he live at Pen island?

Like many other football fans, I considered Motty to be the voice of football for years. The one that really gets me every time I see it, was a glen Hoddle curler right into the top corner. Motty simply shouted "look at that". That summed him up in a split second for me, he just loved the beautiful game.
-
Despite his critics on here, I love Buckley. I might see something others don’t and it has been a while since I saw it, but last night, he had that extra split second again, that a good football brain gives certain players. On his day, he picks the passes that cause damage. Hopefully, he is back to his best and he can start doing the things he is good at and be the difference, come the final analysis.

It’s two wins and a draw from the last three and 7 points. Very happy with that.
-
I thought Travis had his best game for months.

I am going to do a Mercer here. My £20 on a 0-0 but cash out around the 70 minute mark, if it is still scoreless. That should return around £80- £90. I am convinced Blackpool will come to frustrate, so hope they don't pick us off near the end and we lose it.
