  1. Just be aware that a journalist's job is much more to sensationalise and generate clicks/views nowadays. I'm sure it's his genuine opinion, and he's entitled to say it even as a minority view (if anything making it more important), but I'm also sure he's tarted it up with nostalgia and bullshit as is his remit as a journo.
  2. I think we're hoping that BB's clumsy touch up front (albeit, he IS capable of holding the ball with his back to goal) could actually reignite Dack. It's a desperate throw of the dice, but it may work 🤷‍♂️

    Site adverts

My tuppence: Yeah the new ads are a bit annoying BUT they can be closed immediately. Compared to other ad-reliant platforms it's still remarkably easy to overlook. It's not like s 30 second video with a trick cross to make you click the advert, and a million miles ahead of the LET. A bit inconvenient, sure, but I've only had about a dozen ads in about 3 days' use (that I've noticed). Not had one in the last hour of browsing. Using Chrome on a Samsung Galaxy A70 FYI.
  4. What is this abuse you've seen that is so vile that you've not bothered to report it?
  5. Pulling your leg, it's reference to the bits hit parish council thing amthat was viral last month.
  6. Read them and understand them!
  7. "You have no authority at all here K-Hod..."
  8. I torture her buy dressing Baby E in his rovers stuff when she's away even for just a few minutes. Is that not enough?
  9. Paul Wight announced a 'hall of fame worthy' debutante at AEW Revolution... Cody allegedly ruled out 'bait and switching' in AEW, so it better be good! My suspicion is it's just Paul Wight himself.
  10. My question: TM has said several times recently that we fans expect 'instant results'. Our expectations of a playoff push were set by the manager himself. That means Tony is either a liar or incompetent. Which is it, Mr. Waggott, and why are neither sackable offenses? (Deliberately provocative)
  11. My understanding at the time was that they didn't agree with the aims of the club hierarchy. My assumption (and that's all it was and still is) was that the club wanted promotion immediately but the Cowleys didn't feel they could deliver that, so walked rather than commit to something they felt was unachievable.
  12. The case of Williams certainly has a whiff of the 'Nelsen's about it.
  13. Not convinced QPR, Forest, or Derby will be worried.
  14. I'm always quick, just ask Mrs. E!
  15. Bowyer, Lambert, Coyle, Mowbray
  16. Because, unless I'm mistaken, TM isn't a member of this messageboard.
  17. In fairness, I've never seen a thread descend into disarray when discussing the name of bread roll (get it right, ffs 😉 ) but I've seen plenty of threads derailed by political bullshit such as which political commentator is or is not a prick etc.
  18. Let's not talk about the merits or otherwise of a US talking head on a match thread, eh lads?
  19. We need to change manager quickly. Has any manager relegated us twice before?
  20. He didn't look at the fixture list before saying that, did he?
  21. I remember that campaign, it was really effective.
  22. Trying to be positive and work out how to get the best out of what we have, I'd go 4231. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan LoanKid? Bell Travis Rothwell Elliott Dack Armstrong Gallagher I'm thinking high line, with Bell and Nyambe only using their immense pace to catch failed offside traps, or break forward on counters. Otherwise, they should both just sit in a flat back 4. Travis to play the Savage role, give it to Rothwell to burst forward like the Dunn of the Souness era. Gallagher to be the targetman, just there to hover up top nodding balls down for a free-roaming trio, or to get on the end of any crosses. Is that a plan?
  23. And we didn't play all that well then, we took advantage of a red card and a team well off the boil.
