  1. It'd be funny if it weren't us.
  2. Of more than you know 😂
  3. Without naming names, there are eight regular posters doing exactly that. And entirely without irony. I completely agree with your post.
  4. Don't think we've been on the EFL highlight show tonight. Blessing?
  5. Don't apologise, I was only teasing 🙂
  6. We're shut of that twat, thank God.
  7. When you put it that way, that is a pretty incredible line up given it is from a single academy. Wouldn't be against playing that side in the early cup rounds, as 4 are regular starters, the remaining are solid squad players, and only 3 are untested.
  8. I'd like to add that the RT's ideas behind the Marketing Prospectus (and imo what SHOULD be the thoughts of our Commercial department) is: Making it as easy as possible to support Blackburn Rovers.
  9. Leicester would've been 2-0 up after 10mins but for Pears.
  10. We were the better side. I'm hopeful for next season. You think some od you have it bad, I'm waiting for Dingle wife to get in the car. Tempted to drive off, mind.
  11. Wharton is like watching a skinny short-haired Tugay. Does he smoke?
  12. The route that plane's taking. Banner incoming...
  13. He played very well vs Hartlepool (stood out above AW imo), but has had an injury that took him out for a number of months.
  14. We could feasibly see a first team next season set up as: GK Carter Phillips Wharton JRC Batty Travis Garrett Wharton Vale Leonard I wouldn't expect it to do much, but it is impressive from an academy set up to produce a reasonably capable Championship team. And that's leaving out Buckley.
  15. Must win! Don't want those twats becoming Champs at Ewood. Fuck that.
  16. In a meeting with me, as acting Secretary of RT at the time (October 2021), he told me verbatim: 1.'Businesses and commercial is more important than fans in the ground'. He dismissed my response that a full ground would be more attractive to sponsors and other commercial opportunities, surely? 2. 'NFTs are the way forward for us to generate more revenue', despite that technology having peaked around 2015, so clearly behind the times. 3. He justified his belief that 'fans in the ground aren't as important anymore' by telling me he was a Hull fan, but his son supports Arsenal because of a YouTube personality he likes. I replied, that just meant he couldn't market his own club to his own son, so how can you market BRFC to ambivalent commercial interests? Again, no answer. 4. He also insisted 'there's nothing special about BRFC compared to other clubs'. Now while I understood that he was repeating the outsider view, it occurred to me that he SHOULD know what is special about BRFC and how to sell it to commercial interests (halves are relatively unique, most successful town club in the world, and our most significant rivalry is with the last town club to win the league before us over 60 years ago). 5. He reeled off a list of marketing qualifications, and wasn't happy when it was pointed out (can't remember if it was Duncan or John) that Simon Williams (our most successful marketing person in recent decades) only had a BA and wide-ranging experience and proof of results from a marketing standpoint, rather than giving me a list of letters after his name. Basically a bloke full of ego and bluster, but no results.
  17. Paul Fielder. Because he's a twat.
  18. I honestly thought he was shit, but maybe it's a generation thing? Loved Paul O'Grady, mind.
