v Ipswich Town (a) - 23/9/23

Pace is such a vital attribute for fullbacks these days, and I'm pretty sure Pickering would've never been signed by the current regime. But a little puzzled that we haven't tried to address that position yet, guess we're that skint. He was shocking again yesterday and has already been stupidly sent off this season, so would go for JRC and Brittain from here if I was JDT. -

Versus Boro you could see they deliberately targeted Pears on every set piece situation as they knew that was his biggest weakness from his time there. He needs dropping. I'm also concerned at how slow we look now, especially Carter, Hyam and Pickering have problems when the slow midfield central pairing get overrun. Travis has to find a balance and guide Wharton better in my view. Watching Hutchinson versus Pickering was painful. We're creating chances but first half today was incredibly poor and we were lucky that it was 3-1 to them only. A newly promoted side... Imagine a team with Morsy in CM winning direct promotion from the Championship. Think they'll drop down the table eventually. -

Telalovic didn't look great. Not the right arena for a good showing today though, having to chase around for scraps while we put on defensive mode. Great result, should've been more but they had their chances too. Fort Ewood! -

They have to trust their goalkeeper, or else it all goes to shits. It was evident when he first replaced Kaminski that there were some issues, probably stemming from training, but it's gotten better. Today was back to step 1 though. Leo needs to start, Pears is a decent backup. -

Sorry, but it's not daylight robbery when you concede three soft goals. We know we don't score many, it's easy math. -

Bradley Dack - Twist or Stick?
Torgeir replied to bigbrandjohn's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Dack said he needed a run of games to prove his fitness/worth. He got that but then broke down... sensible decision to let him go, but the romantic part of me would love to see him regain some of his old form in the blue & white halves. To be fair I think if he had converted chances like a sharper Dack pre injuries did, then he'd still be here. And I wouldn't rule out a return on a 1 year deal on minimal wages compared to the one he had. -

I personally think they'll aim higher, but who knows. Time will tell, hope we can continue planning for next season without any disruptions. A striker should more or less be lined up already. -

He won't leave us for a club in Scandinavia. But Holland? Probably, and Leeds? More than likely. -

With the model we're trying to build JDT is just a piece of the puzzle. But early next season would be too soon, and definitely cause us some issues. Goalkeeper, left back, LW, RW and a striker needed. -

Good season overall. Feel a bit deflated, it's been a tough few weeks and months. -

Four minutes added time was a bit of a laugh. Nine second half subs and not like there weren't any stops. -

PNE will let Sunderland score in the 95th minute after the ref adds three minutes to maximise the pain. -

They scored after we had the better of them first half. We really need a couple of goal scorers in this team, that's for sure. -

No response after Burnley took the lead, and no response today unfortunately. Cruise control for Luton. Pretty good first half from us but lacking that goal threat. Good effort this season, the squad just isn't good enough. Time to Gregg. -
Phillips could do with a L-1 loan in my view, but given another three to four months might be ready. Wharton is more than ready now. Exciting times, hopefully Leonard can step up too.
