He obviously has more faith in Mokoena than most people on here do.

A Man Utd supporting friend of mine, who has been going since the late 70s, sold his season ticket to another friend this week. Apparently there is no longer a waiting list for season tickets, and you can walk up on most match days and get a seat now.

[Archived] Sky In Multiple Rooms.
Ozz replied to LeChuck's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
Anyone bother getting one of them Sky Gnome things, were you can hear any Sky channel in any room? -
Is my memory playing me up, or did I hear "The Final Countdown" being played before the recent league cup match versus Chelsea? I also noticed that last night the public address system was significantly lower in volume than usual, maybe something to do with European sound at football matches regulations.

Didn't stop them advertising a QUICK BEER Token on the Jumbotron though. You could beat everyone WITH them they're that bad now. BASLE BRUSHED ASIDE I agree with Paul, I enjoyed last night as much as I have enjoyed any game for ages, it was entertaining stuff with a few goals and the timing of the scoring meant everyone left the ground buzzing, which may help future ticket sales. My only gripe was Gray-clearly no confidence, lacking match fitness and sticks out like a sore thumb in that side. And the Basle fans looked like a local GAY PRIDE march had taken a wrong turn and ended up in the Darwen End by mistake. Oh, another gripe-is it my paranoia, or do they deliberately not put the teams on the big screen to make people buy more match day programs?

We should use Benni like we used Shearer-Just give him the ball and let him win matches for us, I really think he is that good. His skill, control, vision and finishing are world class.

[Archived] Rovers Allege Racism

So where are we meant to sit now then? It's yet another example of political madness gone correct. -
Looking forward to tonight, although I have the strong feeling that we will lapse back to our more recognisable selves in Europe , IE a one all draw. Rovers are the biggest footballing foul-up recidivists. Don't think the UEFA booze ban will help Blackburns thirsty footballing fans flock to fortress Ewood. "Forget it, it's fairly freezing outside, fink I'll fore-go footy in favour of filling my fast filling fat belly." Forecast? 4-4.

He is our best striker, we should get the ball to him as soon as possible when going forward as he is very accurate with his shots, has the ability and tricks to beat even good defenders (witness Everton and Salzburg home goals) and is a natural born finisher (Salzburg away and City tap in goals). Top striker, very happy he signed for us.

Which is the same at the Hawthorns down the road-cameras are on a stand even smaller and crapperer than the Riverside, but you don't hear people slagging their ground off.
-
Bizarre random image from Basel board in an attempt to sum Rovers up? Inspired the creators of the Beatles Yellow Submarine cartoon epic!

My "Big mirror in front of the Riverside" idea still wins all arguments for me.

[Archived] Another Graham Poll ?
Ozz replied to 1864roverite's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
On the Graham topic, I voted yes. Seems like no-one else has bothered yet? Could this be an example of too many polls? A poll too far maybe? -
Didn't want to start a new thread, but why is sundays match at Villa a 2.00 pm kick off? I have checked and it is not on the Sky PPV game that usually starts at that time, and both our and Villas sites show it definitely is a 2.00 pm kick off. Whats the script?

Den it was their lowest home prem gate since they moved in there.

Just to re-iterate how much Rovers are doing to bring back fans, it cost me £30 to watch three Rovers matches, English champs Chelsea, who started with Ballack, Robben, Terry, Cole A and Cole J. Plus two home games in the UEFA cup. Marvellous.

Emerton-No return date-oh dear that's not looking too good.

[Archived] West Ham United 2-1 Our beloved rovers
Ozz replied to Presty On Tour's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I think we should give the ball to MCarthy as much as possible. Whenever he got the ball, we looked dangerous. Keep it simple, organise the play to focus on Benni. -

Not too many Rovers fans made the trip today, and were pretty quiet I hear. -

I know the reason too you bitter git. Just 'cos you failed the oral. -
Ace shorts, would be better if the shirt had Garners normal number 10 on it though. No real evidence it was ever worn by Garner, unlikely in fact. Signature looks like a kids done it!

Sorry, could you repeat that?

[Archived] Chelsea (carling Cup)
Ozz replied to SuperStella's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Some of my thoughts on last night. McEvelley-I thought his performance got better as the game went on, probably as his confidence grew after a long spell out of the first team. Henchoz-not lost any of his pace. Not gained any either. I also enjoyed the battle that raged through the second half between Benni and Jason versus Terry and Boogerloos. Good hard but fair battling. I have to say I thought Chelsea were awesome at the back, they took several waves of pressure without ever creaking, with Makalele in front of the back four was superb. We needed to get behind the full backs and get Terry and his mate facing their own goal but the two wide lads never managed that. For this I credit the Chelsea players though. Emerton looked more dangerous on Sunday at full back than he did as a winger last night. Also impressed with the Chelsea support, they brought as many up on a wet wednesday as they did for the league match. Bit quiet though, but in fairness the majority of the game was played in a pre-season friendly atmosphere. The lack of conviction from the home support probably carried over to the players. PIE WATCH The meat and potatoe plan was scuppered on discovering I had only brough £1.88 out with me and was 22p shy of the asking price. Blessing in disguise? -
And it rained like it was Noahs era too.

I can't tell a word he says with that American accent.
