  1. He is our best striker, we should get the ball to him as soon as possible when going forward as he is very accurate with his shots, has the ability and tricks to beat even good defenders (witness Everton and Salzburg home goals) and is a natural born finisher (Salzburg away and City tap in goals). Top striker, very happy he signed for us.
  2. Which is the same at the Hawthorns down the road-cameras are on a stand even smaller and crapperer than the Riverside, but you don't hear people slagging their ground off.
  3. Bizarre random image from Basel board in an attempt to sum Rovers up? Inspired the creators of the Beatles Yellow Submarine cartoon epic!
  4. My "Big mirror in front of the Riverside" idea still wins all arguments for me.
  5. On the Graham topic, I voted yes. Seems like no-one else has bothered yet? Could this be an example of too many polls? A poll too far maybe?
  6. Didn't want to start a new thread, but why is sundays match at Villa a 2.00 pm kick off? I have checked and it is not on the Sky PPV game that usually starts at that time, and both our and Villas sites show it definitely is a 2.00 pm kick off. Whats the script?
  7. Den it was their lowest home prem gate since they moved in there.
  8. Just to re-iterate how much Rovers are doing to bring back fans, it cost me £30 to watch three Rovers matches, English champs Chelsea, who started with Ballack, Robben, Terry, Cole A and Cole J. Plus two home games in the UEFA cup. Marvellous.
  9. Emerton-No return date-oh dear that's not looking too good.
  10. I think we should give the ball to MCarthy as much as possible. Whenever he got the ball, we looked dangerous. Keep it simple, organise the play to focus on Benni.
  11. Not too many Rovers fans made the trip today, and were pretty quiet I hear.
  12. I know the reason too you bitter git. Just 'cos you failed the oral.
  13. Ace shorts, would be better if the shirt had Garners normal number 10 on it though. No real evidence it was ever worn by Garner, unlikely in fact. Signature looks like a kids done it!
  14. Sorry, could you repeat that?
  15. Some of my thoughts on last night. McEvelley-I thought his performance got better as the game went on, probably as his confidence grew after a long spell out of the first team. Henchoz-not lost any of his pace. Not gained any either. I also enjoyed the battle that raged through the second half between Benni and Jason versus Terry and Boogerloos. Good hard but fair battling. I have to say I thought Chelsea were awesome at the back, they took several waves of pressure without ever creaking, with Makalele in front of the back four was superb. We needed to get behind the full backs and get Terry and his mate facing their own goal but the two wide lads never managed that. For this I credit the Chelsea players though. Emerton looked more dangerous on Sunday at full back than he did as a winger last night. Also impressed with the Chelsea support, they brought as many up on a wet wednesday as they did for the league match. Bit quiet though, but in fairness the majority of the game was played in a pre-season friendly atmosphere. The lack of conviction from the home support probably carried over to the players. PIE WATCH The meat and potatoe plan was scuppered on discovering I had only brough £1.88 out with me and was 22p shy of the asking price. Blessing in disguise?
  16. And it rained like it was Noahs era too.
  17. I can't tell a word he says with that American accent.
  18. Been pouring down all day, could lead to an interesting playing surface. Or a postponement.
  19. Ray Stewart?
  20. Prestonwhite-you know it, I know it, the whole world knows it-EHD is a complete tool. Does a good job for Bolton though, so you back your own every time, much as we do with Robbie, although Sav has done well in reigning in his childish behaviour over the last 12 months. I would like to think if Hughes had the Senegalese Physco he would educate him. As for the match, again everyone knows you got out of jail and carried the governers telly out with you on Sunday, again fair enough I would have been happy if the situation was reversed. Not sure how long you'll stay in the top three for though, good luck and hope Gartside sees sense and charges us £15 next year!
  21. Agreed, they only way to ensure Rovers do not get beat is to place a bet on West Ham to win. This will ensure the draw, IE no financial gain personally and no three points for Rovers.
  22. Fit, but poor skin though.
  23. I handed mine in at the TO this morning and asked the same question. She wrote my debit card details on the form. I was going to leave them a cheque but forgot to bring it with me, but thats what I would recommend. It would speed things up. She reckons the tickets arrive at the end of next week.
  24. Am dreading us getting a penalty. Pedersen should take the pens. Gives him something to do apart from passing to the opposition.
  25. You can be so mean at times Philip. You been on holiday PrestatynJansenWales10?
