  1. And many fans also disagree. Hence why Sharpe wrote an opinion piece to highlight the different opinions. I'll ask for the third time. Why was it the wrong time to write that article?
  2. Why not? Its been pointed out that SG returning and going straight back in the side was contentious. Many thought he didn't contribute again. Therefore as it reflected the opinion of the fans and the topics surrounding the club at this time, why was it the wrong time to write the article? If the answer is 'because it might upset the players' then that is not Sharpe's problem. If he had gone over the top, or been out of order, then that's different but it's not like he expressing an opinion which is not fairly prevalent.
  3. Gallagher was awful last night in the first half, and only slightly better in the second. The biggest gripe on this message board is why, on the back of two decent performances, we dropped Samuel to put Gallagher back on the wing. In fairness to Sharpe, he probably knows this and felt it was worth writing a fairly balanced article on it.
  4. That doesn't mean he is right though. The fact Graham has even commented tells me he knows Gallagher is under pressure, as he can see his contribution isnt up to scratch. In fact, all he has done is highlight this even more.
  5. https://www.flashscore.com/football/england/championship/standings/ Overall, home and away form for full season. Plus form tables (overall / home / away) over last 5, 10, 15 and 20 games.
  6. Maybe the negative reactions get filtered out by my brain but I've skipped through this morning and I didn't see anything OTT. We were poor for the majority of the game, Gallagher was a strange selection and we did resort to tapping it around at the back and then hoofing it for Armstrong a lot in the first half. It was a very poor, limited display, What frustrated me was how long it took before we changed it. We were better 2nd half but still not good enough. And yet we didn't change it until 79 minutes. ! I'm sure in the league one campaign, when we had a poor half, Mowbray made substitutions at half time. I remember some games where we had made all changes by 65 minutes and we were concerned in case we picked up an injury. However last night we just persevered despite the fact we had only created one chance in the second half , and had a few powered puff efforts from outside the box.
  7. It aint over but there are only 11 games left. These good points against Boro and Brentford, and last nights point, are going to be pretty ineffective if we never actually get to the top 6. If we are 5 points behind with 3 games left, and manage to gain a point over the subsequent round of games, it's won't be great. Remember, we don't just have to be 3 points better than Preston and 1 point better than Bristol City over the next 11 games. We also have to be as good as Swansea, 2 points better than Millwall, 2 points better than Cardiff. From where we are lingering, you cannot just 'limp' into 6th. Games at home have to be targeted as wins, otherwise people will be disappointed.
  8. And Cardiff / Forest drawing with each other.
  9. Had we had VAR, our penalty may still have stood. But there's definitely wouldn't. That's the difference.
  10. I wouldnt be happy ascId be blaming Walton for being a bit thick. Do you think Rayas action stops Buckley running after the ball?
  11. Agree. Just frustrating that we shoud have been even better in theory had we spent more wisely. Big 2 games coming up. 4 points probably ok but if 6 has to be the target.
  12. But also hows how we have blown our budget.
  13. Im with Chaddy on this. Buckley only ends up on the ground as Raya comes over the top of him. If it was other way around the keeper gets a free kick without a doubt. Whereas their guy goes down because he anticipates or feels a soft touch.
  14. I rewound it and watched it back from normal footage. Pausing it as the ball is is played he is definitely offside.
  15. Derby v Fulham tonight. Preferred result a draw?
  16. Easter Monday red button unless it's changed from last year?
  17. Also, we all know the issues with the red button but iFollow really doesn't help attendances.
  18. You are asking people to show commitment who have already turned down showing commitment twice this season - and ignoring the fact at least 2 of the 6 games are on TV. They aren't committed so are not going to tie themselves down for 6 dates between now and May. I've got a season ticket and I will miss at least 1 and possibly 2 of those games. You are failing to understand that Wembley (and Oxford) are one off occasions, and they will obviously bring out a different set of floating fans. Cheap tickets boosts attendances for individual games. These are good to get 'new' or 'lost' attendees to the matches but don't seem to retain fans (not helped by the fact we often don't perform when we get a decent crowd) For more substantial gains it needs an idea like this one , to be implemented as it would hopefully slow the non-renewals of season tickets and keep the people who do tend games now and again coming more often. The club could be safe or ultra aggressive depending how they priced this. Ongoing success on the pitch will help but that will be a slow process. Promotion would obviously bring fans back, but the genuine belief that we 'could' get promoted would also help. We may be excited on here about where we would be if we won on Saturday, but in the pub on Tuesday night people who I would class as 'very floating fans' (people who I know have been to Ewood in years gone by sporadically but not any more) don't feel that we have a chance of the play offs like we do. It would take us to actually get into the play offs to have an effect. If we are in the top 6 come the Reading game watch what happens to that crowd even without any promos. Back to the original point, the Super 6 is decent value, and the £35k or so it generates is still extra revenue, but in terms of numbers we wont see ay major difference and Waggot will then claim its disappointing.
  19. 9 points and then beat Leeds and you won't be needing that train or accommodation.
  20. Anyone want an early morning giggle? ? https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/pne-youth-team-thread-2019-20-season.3428537/page-43
  21. When is the cut off for getting 10 bookings and not getting a ban? I presume that will be in March some time. I'd go for the first option. It would be the least disruption from the norm.
  22. And how many chances has he been given? About 1/10th of the chances BB has. We dont really know what he can contribute until we see him get some regular game time. Problem is, the next time we see him will probably be for 15 minutes at the end of March.
  23. Brereton showed nothing thing for 18 months. Long way for Harry to go to match that yet.
  24. They don't. The problem is that, watching at Ewood, you struggle to actually see what Gallagher does when he is out wide that any half-decent wide player wouldn't do. He doesn't get crosses in, he doesn't beat a man, he doesn't bring people into play with his height, he doesn't particularly excel tracking back and he certainly isn't offering more of a goal threat. What he does do is work reasonably hard, which should be a requisite for any footballer (but isn't unfortunately). He also gives us some height when defending corners and set pieces. Whilst we are winning games it isn't an issue. However you never come off the ground saying Gallagher played very well. He appears to just 'do a job' out wide. Nothing wrong with that, but it is one of the first areas you would look to improve in a transfer window. Yet we didn't.
