  1. Now and after Rotherham away just less than 12 months ago - 0-4 hammering, and we’d been playing poorly and hardly creating much for a couple of months prior. The Burnley and Preston results were still fresh in everyone’s minds too and I bet the match thread after Rotherham, despite still being in a good league position, read pretty similar to the Huddersfield one. However just a few weeks later we were outplaying a Premier League team on their own patch, deservedly beating a side that went on to automatic promotion, and stringing consecutive wins together, playing a lot better in the process. So all hope is not lost but I agree with your plan for Hull, a 1-0 smash and grab à la Watford away would be just what the doctor ordered. We’ve got to be much harder to both play and score against.
  2. Where’s our best footballer?
  3. Playing terrible overall but Wahlstedt honest to god......
  4. You think there's a chance you'll get zero points in the next 20 games? Come on Longers....
  5. It wasn't our best performance of the season but, in between two tough games, I was just desperate for us to get any kind of win last night regardless of performance (I was a big fan of Big Sam, as you can imagine - when attendances were very high, it's worth noting). We've unfortunately been in this league for over a decade now and the football JDT has us playing is the easiest on the eye. In fact the 15/20 mins or so at the start of the second half against Birmingham was the best football - one touch passing, quick movement etc - we've played for a long time. But a Championship squad isn't going to play well every game.
  6. This stretched, underfunded, strikerless, nothing-on-the-bench squad has won 7 out of its last 11 Championship games. Hats off JDT.
  7. Yeah, amazed at the clamour for Telalovic you see at times on here and social media. Can only think those people weren't at the Cardiff cup game when the game, despite being a really good attacking performance from us, passed him by and went on around him. And even if JDT, on the off chance, does think there's something there then it'll take a long time working with him to get him up to speed with his demands and what he wants, having come from such a low level.
  8. Was probably always going to happen whenever they hit a bad run - they were strongly linked with Farioli, now at Nice, back in the summer. But I think there was a bit of a fan backlash about Mowbray potentially leaving. The owners must be pretty ambitious though, clear in the type of coach they want and fans should be encouraged they identified Farioli (2nd with Nice, only lost once and conceded five goals all season).
  9. I don't think Morton's done anything for us this season to be fair. (Though I do agree that, in this league, you can never say we should be this or that next season - doesn't work like that)
  10. The moment Lukas Jutkiewicz takes the first steps of his touchline warm up this Wednesday night....
  11. 0:45 and 0:56 here too. Absolutely phenomenal keeper.
  12. Was it clear? Mudryk clearly gets to the ball first - albeit with the sole intention to start falling and win a penalty - and it's beyond risky from Cristante but where's the actual 'contact'? A few rolls and pretending to be injured too....even if there was contact, it obviously didn't hurt. Up you get lad.
  13. This is the season for them to have it; they've improved a lot lately and were well on their way to climbing into mid-table. They'll still comfortably stay up. Hilarious that it's only November and a team that has struggled for a good chunk of the season so far has just received a 10 point deduction and they're still above that lot.
  14. There's not one thing from the entirety of JDT's reign so far to suggest that's even a remote possibility.
  15. They've won once since mid September - I'll pass thanks. Up the Rovers.
  16. They've spent about £100m to end up with a team that would lose to the team they had last season. I'd probably be hiding if we did that.
  17. Great video, some good times! Less so at the end, our last Premier League goal for God knows how long 😔
  18. Coyle would have to be bottom of any Rovers manager list since he who shall not be named. A disgrace that he was ever appointed. The reigns of Berg and Appleton were so short that I wouldn't include them, albeit almost certainly neither were going to work out. The club was still at its absolute lowest ebb then though. After a spell of playing extremely dire football matched only by Appleton's last few games and not getting results either, I thought Lambert moulded a pretty poor squad into a decent enough, competitive Championship side. Once he decided to leave it went to pot again. I suppose looking at his record after leaving us, chances are we wouldn't have got any better. 4th is correct for him. Not really a fan of either and both stayed on for too long, but you could definitely make a case for Bowyer above Mowbray. Didn't have the initial relegation, finished 8th and 9th in his full seasons (this was still underachieving though of course given the squad we had). Mowbray didn't match either of those until his last season. Even when Bowyer was rightly sacked, we were only in a very similar position to where Mowbray finished in 20/21 (so after 4 years in charge) and this was with a 30 goal striker, the pick of the PL loans in Harvey Elliott, and not being forced to sell anyone - complete contrast to Bowyer being forced to sell Cairney and Gestede etc in his final summer. But yeah, those two in a battle for 2nd sums the last 11 years up.
  19. If he's a Feyenoord man and would like to manage them one day I don't think he'd dare go to Ajax. Albeit it'd be odd to see somebody turn down Ajax to stay at Rovers.
  20. Thought he must have just had a beer last night but he's still at it this morning. Very bizarre to do it all over Twitter, especially the things he's said about Coleman.
  21. Cheers. Not surprised I forgot about him.
  22. Think it is 3 yep. We used to have him, Mulgrew and there must have been one other that got called up....racking my brains as to who (without checking). Think it was too early for Nyambe with Namibia...
  23. Great header. Fun fact - he's one of very few players whose debut for a club has come in a major cup final (so excluding things like the Community Shield).
