  1. I copied and pasted the paragraph Revidge, didn't say it was all relevant. It says under any circumstance the customer cannot attend which I would assume would fit this hypothetical scenario. For clarity and not to confuse you any further, the bit I find relevant is: NO REFUNDS can be given under any circumstances for individual matches that the Season Ticket holder cannot attend My very basic, and clearly not as established as your own, understanding of English would lead me to believe "no refunds....under any circumstance....for matches the ST holder cannot attend" is pretty fecking relative to the point I am making! But please DickensBlue, do proceed to educate me Genuinely uncertain to as why the hostile reaction to what I posted. Maybe it went against the grain? I responded to a poster saying take him to court, but given my experience with pandemic related claims in my own industry, it would be rather fruitless trying to take him to court given a) the T&Cs attached to the terms of service b) Force Majuere is a recognised clause in Consumer Rights Act 2015 and c) I'm certain a company like Rovers would insert an 'act of god' clause into any contract they enter....although judging by the Sala vs Cardiff case maybe not.... In any case, I wasn't looking to beef with you but given the blokes liking your posts one would assume this is a matter of 'playing the man, not the ball'. Not to worry. You win amigo, well done.
  2. It wouldn't be a £90 claim would it. It would be a potential for a £90 claim + court costs x approx. 8,500. So effectively the liability for Rovers on the back of a hypothetical court scenario would be £765,000 minimum. If arbitro did go ahead, and the court ruled in his favour, it would pave the way for mass refunds. You could even bet your bottom quid that representatives from PNE would assist in the defence claim. Secondly, it wouldn't even get to court. Rovers' own season ticket terms and conditions are as follows: NO REFUNDS can be given under any circumstances for individual matches that the Season Ticket holder cannot attend. The Club cannot guarantee that your seat (or the designated area of the stadium in the case of the Bryan Douglas Darwen End Season Ticket) will not be affected by adverse weather conditions. Blackburn Rovers excludes to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for loss, injury or damage to persons/property in or around the ground. https://www.rovers.co.uk/tickets/season-ticket-terms-conditions/ Lastly, this seasons' tickets would have to be sold under the same conditions, given the climate and reluctance from BRFC to issue refunds. Therefore, had Waggott sold 8,500 season tickets (unlikely) then the government said no, you can only have 1000, it would put the club in the position of needing to notify 7,500 people of their unfortunate circumstances about not being able to see the game live and no refund whatsoever. Otherwise it would break the stance he is taking on last seasons' tickets. However, from an accounting p.o.v, as we are making a loss, you'd have to assume the income gained from those 7,500 tickets is already accounted for and spent, meaning any refund is a further cost to the club. I'm not defending him but only looking to try and understand the motives behind it. Call it nonsense all you want, it's some guess work so may well be. I'm not particularly supportive of Waggott or the board. Bloody hell, already wishing I didn't post. Fuck it - Rovers bad, mmm'kay.
  3. Unfortunately that is his prerogative but what I was getting at is with this refusal to refund, it was probably the reason why STs were like they were. He doesn't want to refund anyone for cash the club receives, therefore potentially selling 4000+ tickets with a refund clause attached would be bad for club cash flow. I'm guessing by the way, going off accounting procedures in the industry I work in, but trying to put some science behind some rather odd decisions
  4. No doubt arbitro, and I posted my own personal experience with this and my grandad Brian who unfortunately was never able to access the iFollow service and will never be in a mindset to challenge the club about a potential refund. It was a ludicrous suggestion as an alternative, and I do believe that refunds should have given pro-rata, or at least the difference between iFollow and actual attendance given the fact you were offered a lesser product. We aren't that family club we used to be that's for sure.
  5. You mustn't have ever heard of force majeure then. If he threatens them with legal action Waggot will ride him all the way through the courts and back. It is also situations like the above with arbitro for why Waggott was probably reluctant to put Season Tickets on sale. Once cash flow is confirmed - ie sale of ticket - it is incredibly hard to ring fence that cash as an aside in case of refunds when you are running a loss making enterprise.
  6. Nyambe Lenihan Williams Bell. not promotion material, but will keep you in the Championship imo. That said we need a starting centre half and left back as soon as possible. Amari’i Bell is a one step forward two steps back kinda player - I think he’s improved and then the next game it is a sinking feeling that he might never make the grade.
  7. We can wear our home kits against Stoke, Rotherham and Boro.
  8. I quite like it but I was yearning for a red and black striped kit I won’t lie. I thought this years kit had a resemblance of that 95 kit and genuinely thought we might see a similar away kit. Would have definitely bought a red and black collared away top this year. As it happens I’ll probably buy the home shirt, but may pass on this depending on pricing. Not a bad effort though, and not as terrible as being made out by some...but fashion taste is subjective after all.
  9. The amount of times in business you are told: "an agreement has to be reached by x date" only for the can to be kicked along the road and an agreement is finally made days or weeks later. Such is life.
  10. I quite like the tid bits man. If they don't come off ah well, but in an era in which Rovers gets little publicity sources that come on here are more or less what we have left in terms of 'paper talk'. They aren't trying to sell a product a la Nixon. The people that don't like them can just scroll past and/or ignore it.
  11. I’d take Oviedo. Where’s he at now? I’m sure I saw him on tele not long back in a European game but he was playin winger not wing back. Left footed, been at Everton and attack minded - sounds a good fit for a Mowbray full back.
  12. I will always say that I'll never criticise a player for wanting to play at a higher level. I'm only making the point that, going by reports, Kipre isn't really wanted there and is a second resort. As a player I wouldn't want that, unless of course there's another benefit to it. Which there is - money. I'm not painting him out to be a bad guy but the fact remains that Baggies beat us at both situations - they can offer more money, and they can offer a higher division. With all that in mind it's no doubt he's going to them, although I would argue that he'd play more football here and likely get a move up as a regular starter, to a team that wants him, rather than playing second fiddle and a second option like currently.
  13. Life doesn't always work out the way you want. If we have to move onto Lindsay then so be it. He performed well at Barnsley. Stoke is pretty toxic right now, or was, so his performances there don't worry me really. He will have a point to prove if he does come to Ewood.
  14. This is something you should be petitioning the local council for if you believe so strongly. You wouldn't ask Ewood Bikes to start weeding the canal bridge right by them would you? The problem with the weeds / litter on the council adopted roads are the councils problem. Clearly, looking after your area does stop on the boundaries of peoples' properties round there, otherwise they wouldn't have let it get in such a state. I remember when I used to walk to school down that road in primary school and people would be outside sweeping their part of the alleyway to keep it clean. Times have changed. It is the same around all alleys around that area now, they are just dumps.
  15. With the prem comes money though. I bet they would. I don't know whether Kipre has been offered regular first team football, but the rumour mill would have us believe Baggies have him on the hook and are waiting for alternatives. That would make you think they believe there's better out there, and if he does sign it is simply a case of them not finding anyone else. It all screams of being unwanted. I can only speak from what little we hear on the outside though
  16. Cedric Kipre is obviously after the move to a Prem club. Why he is letting them mess him about like that is beyond me. Money talks I guess. I'm going to bet that Baggies have doubled the wages he'd be on here. It is a shame because he'd be a guaranteed starter here, probably the main man in defence, and the move to a Prem club would probably happen if he continued the form he shown at Wigan. This is modern football though, and he is prepared to be messed about whilst they look for a 'better' alternative on the chance he can double his wage and if he has to sit on the bench to do that then fine.
  17. If we sign Kipre can we all make a gentlemen's agreement that Alan Nixon is not to be spoken about on this board? He's a tubby little shitehawk who works for a rag. I think Steve Keans name was once censored on here if I remember correctly, can we censor Nixon's name to "Tubby Fud" please Cheers
  18. Stop pissing on our chips RovingRover, we have plenty of other posters who do that. Although it is a bit more sincere coming from you, and so it feels a bit more like a betrayal Fuck Leeds and the ground they walk on
  19. Looks like Tomlinson is a bit of a tool, which goes along with what was being said about him during his time here. He looks absolutely fucked on that photo of him playing for Accy. Got bags under his eyes like he's been putting in the hours, but more likely been burning the candle at both ends judging by his reputation. Crying shame really, never nice to see a boy with talent mess themselves about. The Mansfield fans claim he spat in a coppers face which, in the current climate, may even mean he will do time. I swear someone got sent down for spitting at a bus driver not long back?
  20. I don't understand how you have come to that conclusion. Three journalists with actual connection to the club (Bayes, Sharpe and Myers) have all come out and said bringing in a defender is not linked with letting one go. But here you are, with no connection to the club and no direct contact with Tony, speculating the opposite. Of course your post is just conjecture, but nevertheless labelling it as quite alarming when it isn't based on any real tangible fact is a bit of a pie in the sky doom and gloom prediction that isn't really necessary.
  21. Plenty? I saw 2. 2. Plenty.
  22. Forget? He's only just signed! 300+ career apps, 27 years old, Champions League experience - yep, experienced keeper alright.
  23. Everybody wants to rule the world - Tears for Fears What a classic
  24. 300 appearances, European appearances, league titles and domestic cup wins - the boy is magic. Can't wait to see him lift the Championship trophy next year. Tommy Safe Hands
  25. I can see where the clubs are coming from. The home team needs to capitalise on away support for cash flow, so by charging them a reduced rate to watch online it means all parties are happy. It's difficult to see another way around it, otherwise you'll have to accept a loss of 23 home games @ average 1500 fans @ average 20 quid a pop. That could mean a loss between 650,000 - 1,000,000 for the club. In fact, we'd be hit harder by that as we benefit from large away attendances for certain teams.
