  1. Saw this documentary today and really enjoyed it. It's about the history of Motown Records. https://www.sky.com/watch/title/programme/877780ca-1f47-498b-a826-e040ce222503/hitsville
  2. Buying a pair of gophers might be cheaper. Then you can get a vest made from a gorilla's chest.
  3. Kitching has scored against Sheffield Wednesday. He's been linked earlier.
  4. Hopefully Sanderson will be like Brad Friedel, and be amazing when some thought it was a manager getting his mate in.
  5. What's Nicky Marker up to nowadays? Maybe he can come in as cover. Then we can afford Ali Dia AND Martin Dahlin.
  6. Damn, I thought you were going to say he's in prison or dead.
  7. Hanley is a big dumb ox of a player who is past it. We have a few older players, who are better.
  8. Trent Alexander-Arnold is already in Madrid, mentally if not physically. He's having a stinker.
  9. Being backed by American banking/high finance interests helps too.
  10. If we can get those, and a striker, maybe we'll be OK. Is there anyone scoring 100 goals in non league or abroad we can scout?
  11. For all the criticism about lacking that edge to win, the Euros were the first time I've seen England in a final, and I'm 43. Southgate's response when Saka missed that penalty shows he is a decent guy. Still, we should have won against Italy.
  12. The RB Yarkshire fans seem very salty and entitled about the result from what I've seen. Loads of messages calling us anti football, small club, boring etc.
  13. I'd bin him off ASAP. He may have skill, but we never see it. And I wonder if the stories about a bad attitude towards training etc. are true. I hope Eustace is bugging him up to remind other clubs he's around.
  14. Can you imagine if they did go down. None of the players would have wage reduction clauses and many would not have the attitude and fortitude for a long season of getting promoted. They'd be stuck with many big egos in bigger wages sulking about.
  15. We'll probably only sign a freebie, or some talentless kid from a premier league club.
  16. Just got an email from the BBC saying that they had taken down my message describing Waggott as a 'greasy poo' on the Championship 'what your team needs' page. I thought I was being as polite as I can.
  17. If I was Robins, I'd hold off. Stoke are a mess, and after fighting against the tide with Coventry for god knows how long, why put yourself through that journey again? When Lampard screws up, as he will, he can walk back into Coventry City again refreshed after a break. It's a job for life here if the fans have anything to do with it. Mowbray has had a major health scare, so would he want a poisoned chalice like Stoke? Life is too short.
  18. I've only been to the 4Ps once for a wedding reception or engagement party about 20 years ago. There's now a fake Irish pub/nightclub called Shenanigans on Spon End (the city centre area with all the nightclubs and kebab shops). There's now The Sky Blue Tavern in a building off junction 7 of the ring road that was a big Chinese restaurant for years. I tend to go to more rugby based pubs like The Gatehouse Tavern, Broomfield Arms or a micropub called Hops D'Amour. All OK for away fans.
  19. The Man U fans already want Amorim out. Maybe they can operate like Have I Got News For You and have a different manager every week. I'd tune in when it was Wayne Rooney's turn or Steve Kean was made Director of Football for a month.
  20. In my youth, Frank Sinclair was a master of that kind of own goal. Hilarious for Chelsea's opponents.
  21. Even saying what I did, glory supporters are tossers, I agree. Here in Coventry, I'd say the majority are Sky Blue fans, even after all the dramas they had. Attendances are up and down but you see most kids in Coventry City kits. All the west African immigrants I've worked with support either Arsenal or Chelsea. You'd hate Bedfordshire Mattyblue. I spent my secondary school and university years there, and all the big London clubs, Man Utd and Liverpool were supported. Only a couple supported Luton Town, and my dad knew one Bedford Town season ticket holder. Tottenham was probably the most popular London club.
  22. Stoke really have been poop over the last few seasons, whoever the manager is. They're a career killer just like Manchester United are in the Premier League.
  23. Nice to know I'm not a real fan since I was born in Barnet, and spent my early childhood abroad. This information could be useful in the future. I suppose if I put on a Lancashire accent, dress up like one of the Goodies and study the martial art of Eckie Thump, I might get away with it. I assume Upside Down is originally from the Blackburn area, but lives in either Australia or New Zealand so they're OK.
