  1. Sunderland have been ok without creating much, whereas we've been dangerous on the break. Looks like a good crowd on the TV too.
  2. Frank Lampard is bumming Wayne Rooney. There's some younger men involved too. Coventry 4-0 Plymouth at half time.
  3. Imagine how much hype Alan Shearer would have had in today's football. He'd have been worth £400m if Mbappe and Haaland are worth £150m. And so many young football fans barely acknowledge he ever had a career, and have never even heard of Matt Le Tissier.
  4. Hope they don't get that far. Kholi has just been fined in Australia for barging into a young Aussie making his debut. He can almost be as obnoxious and entitled as Indian cricket fans online.
  5. I expect a draw or narrow defeat. We usually keep things tight but don't score many.
  6. Man City were the first team he had that wasn't the tip top team, or 2nd at worst. Before him, Mancini had success and won a league or two, but weren't the juggernauts Barca and Bayern Munich are domestically.
  7. At least it's an away game. He'd get some grief if it was at the Frank Lampard's Coventry Building Society stadium. Frank Lampard's Coventry City have suffered from not having experienced defenders since we bought two before Frank Lampard arrived. Frank Lampard needs to buy or loan some. Frank Lampard.
  8. Pep usually kills players that have that bit of individuality and X factor, as they're subsumed into the system. The exception was probably Messi, but not many players are that good. Anyway, hope Plastic City stay humble.
  9. The one in Whitby is good, but the owner is a prick.
  10. Weather allowing New Zealand have won it already. England showing that they can be stupid and one dimensional when their all out attack method fails.
  11. An incisive striker with pace would be nice, but we all know what'll happen. Maybe a desperate loan or two from the Premier League, and possibly Cantwell being sold. We can't be promoted as that'll bring more scrutiny to the Rao family.
  12. Mark Robins would probably be my choice if he wants to move to London. Used to a tight budget and his teams play a decent kind of football. And I expect Leeds to get loans from Salzburg and Leipzig now they're part of the Red Bull family. Maybe they'll get Checo Perez from the F1 team, since they want to move him on 😄.
  13. He's been a handbrake at best for any club he's worked at. He played his part in the decline of Coventry City and Charlton.
  14. O'Neill is probably the next Steve Bruce. OK up to a point, but no top level manager. And definitely not an international manager that can win a trophy.
  15. I've only got the Painkiller album, but it's the most gloriously over the top classic metal album I've heard. It's great.
  16. Sounds really awkward and a bit like David Brent. I don't have anything to do with Twitter, but I can say it won't convince the fans. As I type, they're losing again. At least the rugby union team are top of their table.
  17. Oh dear. You can guess the score at the Coventry Vs Cardiff game right now.
  18. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5yrn770g9do Our other potential owner in 2010 is mentioned here. It was like being asked which terminal disease to have.
  19. Have we had a Saturday 3pm game this season?
  20. And fiddling the books with transfer fees.
  21. They're furious. Not one I know thinks Lampard is capable of adequacy. I'll give him until next Christmas/New year. Every game will be judged.
  22. It's been a while coming, but my friends won't be happier. I doubt it'll be quite as spectacular as Rooney at Birmingham, but I'd still put a £5 on relegation.
  23. I can see Bassini or Ridsdale being CEO when Waggott finally retires. Though Gestede would be a typically mad and useless appointment.
  24. I watched Coventry vs. Northampton in the standing area yesterday. The weather was horrendous, and we were supposed to have the best of it in the Midlands.
