  1. For what it's worth, the feeling in Coventry is that it's all but announced that Lampard is some sort of Head Coach rather than manager.
  2. They poach the best teenagers, coaches and suchlike, they have a squad of superstars and they have infinite money. Sports washing City should have enough depth to put up with a few injuries.
  3. Sack the manager! 😁 There's something off behind the scenes at the Etihad. To go from an all conquering machine to losing 4 or maybe 5 in a row is a hell of a drop.
  4. Maybe he's still living in the Midlands, and it works better for his family. I'll look out for him today when I go to Aldi.
  5. I'm at work until 2, and I don't feel I've missed anything. I only bother with England when the tournaments start.
  6. According to The Sun, he's been photographed doing lines of 'white powder' somewhere.
  7. Hopefully Skynet will be too distracted by cat videos to take over the world.
  8. Wait..... what about Rooney and Burnley?
  9. A team bottom or near the bottom of the table and having a stinker of a season? 2-0 to Portsmouth.
  10. Absolutely right SG. He just has the feel of a colourless, banal guy when being a pundit or a manager. Living in Coventry, I know the fans are livid with this decision. Robins has guided them through some atrocious times and they love him for that. If Frank does get the job, he'll not get long before the fans will want him out.
  11. Frank Lampard is odds on to be the next Coventry City manager. Apparently he and the current owner are friends from what I have heard.
  12. It's like Man City or Pep's teams have to play intricate, passing football and a simple 'give it to a winger to cross to Haarland' plan is vulgar and uncouth.
  13. Not that big on Paul Weller, though I think he's OK. I'm seeing Gnome in Birmingham next may, as well as Iron Maiden in Prague. https://youtu.be/EE-LD2EcASo?si=LeMa7T4jbSpYQFj8
  14. Hahahaha. Vinjay will be upset, but I love it. A plastic club made to look like mugs.
  15. Just read that BBC article, and shook my head. That is absolutely stupid and a back door way of closing off the league to unfashionable clubs. It's the same with Union with RFU funds to the lower tiers constantly decreasing, promotion to the Premiership either not happening, or dependant on having a fancy ground.
  16. Thankfully I never been at those games. I presume you mean when Burnley are visiting, and are describing the fans
  17. Glad he had a better experience than a GG Allin concert in football form.
  18. I want to see England win something before I fucking die. We are not going to do owt with Alan Pardew or Gary O'Neill in charge. Mind you, I grew up abroad so I don't have that attachment to institutions in the same way.
  19. Probably because he's an English manager. Aidy Boothroyd has not done anything since leaving some Indian Super League club according to Wikipedia. Maybe he should be a Premier League or national manager.
  20. First one was, the second one wasn't. It was an entertaining game.
  21. Cashed out on a treble with Leicester not winning in the 89th minute letting me down. That's why I rarely gamble.
  22. Then how do we test players, tactics and suchlike? There probably needs to be a low risk game to try things out.
  23. My parents' knackered old dog would be a better choice than Lampard.
  24. There was a story about sperm donors getting £10 more for their contributions, and my message saying "Don't tell Boris Johnson, he's got enough children" got taken down.
  25. Eustace seems a bit more able to learn mistakes than JDT and Mowbray. Or at least that's the impression I get.
