  1. Not even in the same country and my curse strikes.
  2. The Undertaker was mine. If the documentary isn't 'official' it could be really interesting. Vince is a successful yet shady character. And Hulk Hogan's role in plot lines and other outside the ring matters in WWF/WWE is also a rich topic.
  3. It was worse, it was 5-0. It was the only time my mum has been to a football match. I was there too, and we stayed iny sister's student house on Wren street, off the corner of the stadium. Coldest house in the UK. Remembered another pub near the ground. The Cherry Tree on Lythall's lane. Not sure if it is a pub for away fans though.
  4. Brilliant to see. I hope he has a few good locks. I've had a Nike stolen right outside Lidl not to far from the stadium.
  5. There's a few good pubs in the city centre, and some bad ones. Avoid the Coventry Cross, Downtown and The Phillip Larkin as they're like holding pens for The Jeremy Kyle Show. The Town Crier is OK and The Golden Cross near the cathedral is pretty good. I tend to go to either The Gatehouse tavern, which is a rugby pub, or Hops D'amour which is a micro pub near a load of the bus stops.
  6. Gallagher was dog shit. Gueye dominates in the air but is Emile Heskey when shooting. He can put others into play though.
  7. Coyle got the Rovers job as a fiddle so I'd not buy him a pint and chat. Almost as awful as Etuhu and Murphy.
  8. Just got tickets for Iron Maiden in Prague. I've wanted to see them for ages. I had to do it as they're not young anymore.
  9. OGS was building mediocrity, just like Moyes, Ten Hag and all the other managers since Ferguson. To say that Ole was going to do a Klopp is silly. He was tripe. The players need to be shipped out as they are the reason for the bad atmosphere around the place.
  10. I'd wait until March as we usually fuck up in the second half of the season.
  11. If I was Man Utd manager, I'd put pretty much all the 1st team squad for sale. Not one of them is a winner and/or leader. I'd also bin the youth coaches as few decent players come from there. There's been a listless, dull feeling about the team for years. However I am not the manager or a fan, so I'm not bothered.
  12. My loafers are former gophers
  13. All the boxing promoters are shady characters. They're usually vaguely associated with gangster types, and/or murderers or crooks.
  14. That draw with Newcastle must have been quite jarring.
  15. Especially since Foden seemed a bit flat. We're talking about Southgate though, who is super cautious. I can imagine how pedestrian Man Utd will be if he got that job.
  16. It's weird not worrying about form, relegation, being undermined by the owners etc. Still, we probably will be after January.
  17. Luckily I'm in Wales so I can't go to the match. Never seen us beat Coventry, not has any of my family. It's a double curse I have because when I go to watch City play another team, I ruin it for my friends as they usually play like they held a raffle for which in the crowd play.
  18. Raya was magnificent. It was an interesting and tetchy game.
  19. If it was an established Premier league team, then OK. Someone like Brighton, Brentford or West Ham. Southampton are not at that level yet, just went up, and look like they'll do a Burnley and sink quickly. He'd then be at a club with a relegation to his name.
  20. Looks like it's back to Hodgson's Palace-just plodding along hoping a player can nick a goal.
  21. The Typhoon that hit Leicester has just hit my part of Coventry.
  22. I was so surprised when I heard that footballers trained from around 9am to 2 or 3 pm. That's nothing if we're talking 4 or 5 days a week. This was a while ago so I don't know if they stay on, and go to the gym etc. outside those hours. If those hours include fitness work and they're let loose in the early afternoon, it's no wonder why they wander into a pub or bookies to pick up bad habits.
  23. I don't want Eustace to go. Things are looking decent right now, and whilst he'll have the rug pulled from under him in January, I want to build up enough of a buffer to avoid another relegation battle. And we know that we'll get another Owen Coyle type to replace him. Waggott and shadow man will make sure some goon who is easy to control will be in place for the next youth team fire sale.
  24. Everyone wants to play tippy tappy Pep football without realising that you need a full squad of amazing players to do it. Or that a direct, punch in the face style can sometimes be just as effective.
